In fact Floor’s daughter Freya is the reason she took on this amazing version. Floor was a bit done with that song in her head so she let us took it over from her 😉

About the instrumental part: It seems that Oscar Fläring of Swedish rock band The Fouxes supplies the instrumentation on Floor’s cover.
Floor is not only a master with her voice but also a master at letting out all the emotion from the lyrics
“Effortless power” is what comes to mind when I watched this. Floor looked as if she was using a fraction of her vocal might for this.

Funny you mention the clenching of the jaw thing, cause she literally just released her first masterclass video where she talks about that :) Also, one thing I specially like about Floor, as opposed to Idina, is her enunciation. I can barely understand what Idina is singing sometimes.

I liked your observation about her dissecting the lyrics. I rarely pay attention to the words in songs, but Floor's presentation of lyrics and her clean enunciation make me do so, allowing me to connect with the song. Only Floor could take one of the most annoyingly overplayed songs and make it into something so fresh that I listen to it a couple times a day now! Also loved your Ursula rendition! ❤

In one of her Vlogs Floor said she was diagnosed some years ago as a "hypersensitive person", this is why she seems to have such a connection to the lyrics.

Don’t Stress your Jaw, Master Class #1, Floor Jansen first class it dropped today. On this song, Let It Go I showed a few of my friends who have Granddaughters and call this song their drinking song, because as soon as the grand kids leave they start drinking because how tired of this song they are after hearing it 1000 times. After they listened to Floor version they said Floor making it metal, and putting emotion into each word and lyrics, she made it her own. Exactly what you said, She truly is a great voice & entertainer. But more important just unselfish ( just like Each Nightwish member), just loves to sing & get the most enjoyment out of her preformace. Great job as always!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
not only young little girls that are frozen fans, i like disney cartoon/animated movies quite a lot and frozen is my favourite one, dethroning mulan when it (frozen) came out in 2013, and im a young adult male who usually listens to metal. also, of the official version of "let it go", my favourite is the korean version sung by hyolyn (formerly part of the kpop group sistar)

Greetings from Finland! Floor does not make covers, but always adds her own spin to the original. As a perfectionist & true professional she also uses the AKG C12 VR tube condenser microphone that costs USD 6000. However, many reactors before you have complained about the mixing being off & her vocals too low in volume.
This is something I did not notice until editing. My headphones, which are admittedly on their last leg, let me hear her just fine. I agree though that her vocal was really low. It is something that is often hard to gauge until you post the video in our experience.
Just imagine how this must have gone at the Floor/Hannes home: 'ok Freja, I've heard this song SO often now, let's listen to it in mom and dads way!'. Digging up the gear at home, calling in some favours from band members from Sabaton and Nightwish, or simply doing it all themselves (I am sure both Hannes and Floor can do more than just play drums and sing...). And voila, out rolls this. Just imagine being able to do this 'on a whim' (well, maybe not quite that spontaneously, but still....). Just mind boggling.

It's great ok, but even Saara Aalto had more mind blowing ending at X Factor UK, and it wasn't supposed to be metal. Floor has done it herself, spoiled us for doing those GLS endings, Devil and the DDO etc. I blame her 🤣
Freya must be the happiest girl in the world. Her Mom ist the best female singer in the World and her Dad is a phenomenal drummer in metal.

Tarja has done some things on Instagram. She looks great and so do you. The first master was Floor talking about the jaw and breathing. People have been saying that she should be the next Disney singer.

Hi Christi! Thanks for the video - great stuff! It struck me that Floor was stylistically drawing on Willemijn Verkaik (the Dutch and German Elsa) more than Idina Menzel. Any chance you could do a reaction of "Willemijn Verkaik - Let It Go"? It's a fantastic live performance, and I think (although you might think otherwise!) that it sheds light on Floor's rendition.

I believe she likes to make arrangements etc that she is comfortable with.
The reason this song is so popular with younger girls is because it describes an archetypal crossing of a psychological barrier. From a young girl's perspective you have to at some point stop being molded by your parents expectations and embrace your own developing personality. This matures her and pushes her into the 'tween years' to a brave new environment with upcoming puberty on the horizon.

So poetic Christi, but I feel the exactly the same way, I feel as if Floor is working her mouth especially hard around the lyrics, she's 'throwing nothing away' like every single word and phrase is just as important as every other one.
