A jute rug could warm up the space and break up all the monotones and bring a bit of a beachy vibe (for that Miami nod). You could also add a tall banana palm plant to add to the Miami vibe. A patterned rug might make the space look too busy and make the room look smaller especially because you have exposed brick.
