Ever wondered who China's best ally is? We usually associate #China with countries like North Korea, Russia, Cuba or any communist regime or one with a communist past during the Cold War. But the reality is that, quite possibly, China's best friend is a country we don't often talk about: Pakistan, a country devastated by its devalued currency, unproductive economy and mountains of debt it can barely pay off.
Although it is true that #Pakistan managed to make good friends with the United States as soon as it became independent, relations between the two countries have gradually cooled, leaving a gap that China has been able to fill since the 1950's. Thus, today we find ourselves with an alliance that, although unexpected, is fruitful and beneficial for both nations, which feed off each other.
What has so damaged Pakistan's relationship with the United States? How has Pakistan become China's best friend? What interests does China have in Pakistan? Is the relationship truly stable? In this video we tell you.

Punjabis didn't speak Urdu. They used to speak Punjabi. Urdu originated in Indian Oudh(Awadh) or now Uttar Pradesh n Bihar of India.

Kashmir history is muddled, but rest is spot on. Kashmir's king was a Hindu. The region also includes Jammu (Hindus being majority), Gilgit (muslim majority) and Ladakh (Buddhist majority) besides Kashmir Valley itself. He wanted to be independent. Until Pakistanis soldiers started showing up and taking over, forcing the king to seek Indian help and join India (which fyi has more muslims than Pakistan itself). India as a secular country, he felt it would the best for his diverse subjects.

Kashmir has been a historical hub of Hindu-buddhist culture and learning. One of the ancient temple University called Sharda University was in Kashmir. Not to forget under Kanishk Buddhism was split into Hinayana and Mahayana Buddhism in the Kashmir conference.
Islam is a foreign religion that came in Kashmir through invaders/plunderers and ultimately overpowered the ethnic religious entities.

- pak-stan mean "land of the pure"
- The very idea of Pak-stan came after califate movement by ali brothers who quite successfully charged up the ummah concept. Before that there was no pak-stan. Rohingyas were recently trying to create a "land of the pure" in rakhine state in Myanmar.
West will get the taste of "land of the pure" at some point of time.

Major Correction: Punjabis never spoke urdu. Only the after partition/ formation of Pakistan the influenced people from Uttarpradesh (India) started imposing Urdu in Punjab. Still today majority of people speak Punjabi. (Politically connected who wished the creation of Pakistan was majorly from Uttarpradesh and they moved to Pakistan after formation. There was literally no support for the creation of Pakistan from Punjab region today in Pakistan)

Pakistan can be a lifesaver for China in bypassing Malacca straits and placing a check on India, but can't go beyond it like standing by China against the West, which North Korea does. That's because many people in power from Pakistan has dual citizenship in the Western world and have immensely invested there, so they can't risk West sanctions.

Nobody purged Muslim rulers in Kashmir, it was always ruled by a King who happened to be Hindu, Pakistan wanted the territory forcefully only on the grounds that is was Muslim majority state. Pakistani terror links then purged minority Hindu groups from there probably using US/western aid for their training and weapons, which was supposed to be used to counter Russia linked fighters in Afganistan.
I am at 5:50 and I can't help but point out two factually incorrect statements you already made-1) Punjabi is the language of Punjab, not Urdu, in fact, Urdu originated in India's present-day UP state. The erstwhile state of Punjab was divided into two parts-one went with Pakistan and the other one stayed with India. I can assure you that almost 95% of Indian Punjab do not speak Urdu. The rest 5% may speak it because of it's proximity to the state of UP. 2) Britishers did not hand over Jammu & Kashmir to the Hindus. In fact, J&K was under the rule of the Dogra kings long before the Britishers even fought the War of Plassey in 1757 in the present-day Indian state of WB.

Urdu is the language brought by the Mughals who invaded India before the arrival of the British. The people of Punjab (both Pakistani as well as Indian) speak Punjabi; not Urdu. Also British played a significant role in India being split into what is now called Pakistan at the time of Independence. Before that it belonged to an undivided India.
Urdu is just Hindi language with a few Persian and Arabic words added in it, nothing else.
They also use Arabic scrip to write it, that's all.
