If you have ever had a child - growing them over nine months feels so smooth and gradual, when in reality your body changes drastically and quickly. But it is nothing in comparison to giving birth. There is a reason they call it labor, and yet the process, while so intense and difficult, carries you like a giant, deeply spiritual wave. It's hard, but not because you have to figure anything out. It's hard because it takes you to the door between life and death, and you can:t hold on to anything but the trust you have in the mystery.
