Edit: I posted this before the ticks at the finish. Very nice

I am just pontificating here, but I think I figured it out for the most part. You are correct in what you presented. The centrifugal force of the spin causes the two arm-bearings to move towards the edge of the yoyo, thereby pressing on the coil. When the spin gets reduced (centrifugal force is reduced), then the force causing the arm-bearing to move towards the outside, it weakens, and the coils power becomes greater than the centrifugal force. At this precise time, the coils push out, retracting the arm-bearings to their starting positions, which have a hidden teeth-like apparatus that grips the spin-bearing system and clamps down thereby not allowing the bearings inside the spin-bearing system to rotate, which causes the yoyo to stop spinning immediately and the remaining excess energy pulls the yo-yo up. The trick to the design is getting the coil system just perfectly balanced, so that by the time the teeth clamp down the yoyo still has enough power to recoil but preventing it from doing it too early so the yoyo never spins. Thank you so so so much for helping me understand this. This had truly bothered me not understanding. LOL

This explanation actually helped me understand as well what is happening 😂 thank you.

Exactly, about the centrifugal force. I have an X-Brain and its clutch assembly is made of four sliders with springs and steel ball weights to open up when spinning past.

That's really cool you should do this again but with a yomega X brain I think it would look even cooler

Hey how’s chronos camera ? I’m thinking of getting it , how is your experience by now ? Any issues with it ?

I like it a lot, the only issue I have is time and I have the middle one at 5.5 seconds, but no other issues really

there are actually more yoyos, offstring yoyo being one
