Xiaomi or whichever manufacturer usually specifies the capacity of power bank in terms of the internal rechargeable battery used.A charging process by powerbank will go through the following process.
1) The 3.7(4.2 volt on full charge) internal lithium ion or lipo cell volt has to be stepped up to 5 volt usb standard.
2) The 5 volt usb out will be stepped down to 4.2 volt by the charging module of the smart phone to recharge the 3.7 volt internal battery of the phone.
Thus a charging process includes the above two steps where first step involves a considerable loss of energy in boosting and further second step too will make some loss of power in stepping down.In whole together no power bank in the world as far as I know can give combined efficiency of more than 80 percentage of the battery used , during the above two processes.upto 70 percentage efficiency is the most common and some few products like iBall IB LP 10000 are giving efficiency of upto 77 percentage and that due to simple booster circuit which involves minimal components in circuit. If battery is charged to a voltage of 4.3 then ofcourse it will appear that efficiency is increased but life of the cell will be reduced substantially.

Recently purchased Mi 3i 20000 mAh. It charged my Samsung M52(5000 mAh) 0-80% 3 times and 0-60% 1 time. Calculating it 5000×80%= 4000 mAh and 5000×60% = 3000 mAh
So I got 4000×3+3000= 15000 mAh actual output.
Due to the voltage difference between the powerbank and the phone there will be some energy that is lost, after all we are not talking about an ideal condition are we?

When attempting to make such videos, it's important to understand the fundamentals as well as what the specifications really mean.
20000 mAh is the capacity of the LiPo battery pack at its nominal voltage of 3.7V.
It is NOT the output capacity of the power bank itself. There will be an inherent loss in the switching DC-DC converter.
Going by your number, 5x13800 / (3.7 x 20000) = 93.24 % efficiency, which is well within the specs of a good power bank
So comparing to other power bank
Is this power bank is better to buy?

The advertised cell capacity is 20000 mah if we calculate by using 3.7v and 74 Wh but if we calculate cell capacity by using 5v and 74 Wh then the cell capacity as advertised is 14800 mAh. According to you test you got 13800 mAh. So technically you got 94% of what was advertised.

My 3i charges in 6-7 hours with USB moto turbo charger and does give 20000 mah as it charges my 3000 and 40000 mah mobiles by 4-5 times, giving around 14-15000 mah actual charge, which is 20000 mah power bank, since 20-25% is lost in charging

Calculation seems wrong...you discharged @ 9V and calculated power w.r.t 5V. Also you did not show output of Your Charger..is it capable of giving output 12V / 15V?
Anyone else attempting to open Power banks like this should use Iso-Propyl alcohol and discharge the power bank completely before opening

Your calculation of the mAH value (13800) is wrong.
The battery is rated at 20000 mAH @ 3.7V
Now, Converting the 69Wh to mAH @ 3.7V it gives 18648 mAH.
Also, The calculation that it can charge 6000mAH battery 2 times is wrong. It will depend on the power capacity of the battery being charged. mAH shouldn't be used to calculate the number of times a battery could be charged. It will depend on the mAH value in addition to the rated voltage of the battery to decided the actual capacity on the battery in Wh and then using that to calculate the number of times it can be changed using the power bank. ie. 69/
Eg. If the battery is 6000 mAH and the rated voltage is 3.85 (typical for mobile phones), We get the capacity as 23.1 Wh. That mean the power bank can charge the battery 69/23.1 ~ 3 times

This show it is atleast in a good range. If we take indian brand battery ,(lead acid) than the real efficiency is much less than 50pc of of its rating power before safe cut off.

Good 18650 (Genuine Orange,BAK,Roofers brand) battery based power bank gives exact power.

(It may be used for continuous power support while recording with DJI camera). My DJI camera's battery info is ...875mAh capacity / Voltage 7.7 / Energy 6.738 Wh / input 5V-2A / Output 5V-500mA. DJi company has developed a charging case for this with... 1500mAh capacity / input 5V-2A / Output 5V-900mA / Adapter 5V/2A or 5V/1A. SO MY QUESTION IS... WILL THIS MI POWER BANK SUITABLE FOR MY CAMERA????? As per technical specification this power bank has lowerest power support of 5V/2.4A with usb-A.

I bought this powerbank recently to power up my wifi router. I have a NOKIA router. It's adapter has rating of 12V/1.5A. This power bank has also claimed to have output of 12V/1.5A from both Type A and Type C port. I tried DIY solution to make cable from USB-A to wifi router port. But, Wifi router is not working with it.
Do you any suggestion for my DIY Powerbank UPS? or can you show any idea to do this?

why manufacturers are claiming their power bank have 10k mah or 20k mah power capacity but in actual the capacity is just 7k mah or 13k-14k mah?
Publicity: actually inside battery is of 3.7 Volts at 10k mAh. Means energy 37Wh. But your phone is going to charge with 5V, means 37Wh/5V = 7400 mAh and if 90% efficiency, then 6600 mAh.

I dont know hindi but let me comment it according to what the title says. It means, this powerbank have a capacity of 20000mah at 3.7v, and as its output is boosted to 5v, it gives 13800mah at 5v.
