I brewed one of these recently and it’s been in the pressure barrel for a week. Mine came out at 7.2% and I know you guys rate this highly so I can’t wait to try it. 🍻
@@nigeandersextraordinarybee3723 I’ve never used a barrel before. I’ve got two that I’ve had for a couple of years. I’ll let you know if it’s any good 🍻
Question, going to do an extract and dry hop red Irish ale, i want to use the kevin ale yeast. Do you recommend , or do you think your normal premium ale yeast ??? I did a stout and it was finished in 3 days !!! Just not sure with the ale ?
Evening gents. Funnily enough i started this brew Tuesday.....4th time brewing it and 1st time i haven't tampered so we'll see how it is. Nige, your carbonation seemed spot on - don't suppose you remember how much PS you added? Yet to do the Bad Cat - must get around to that one. Anders, is your lager the Cortez Gold by any chance 🤔 (i know you can't say) Enjoyed the video but wasn't quite sure what you meant by 'tea-bagging'🫢
Hey Fb, how are you? Best of luck with the Evil one. I'll give Nige a nudge and he can talk to you about sugar n stuff. I'm in a quandary over which which beer to brew next. Bad Cat being part of the conundrum, the lager isn't part of that 🤫 As for the final comment you refer to, I'm not sure, I heard da kidz in da hood use it and I wanted to sound cool. I haven't googled just in case.
@@nigeandersextraordinarybee3723 😅 I'm the same, Anders. Creative WineMaking have some cracking deals on the Bulldog kits ATM and can't make a choice....might just pick up a few to take advantage of the free delivery (Cortez Gold being one of them 👍). All the best
Started home brewing about 6 weeks ago (10L pressure fermenter). Despite inexperience and mistakes, the 2nd beer I made (all grain, Italian blanche by Cuoredicioccolato(youtube)) is better than anything I've had in any pub!
I'm so excited for you at the start of your homebrew life. You're right, if you make a decent beer it hands down beats any pub beer. All the best, cheers!! 🍻
Great review guys , getting jealous, can not get these kits , in Australia, hopefully one day soon
I checked to see if we could get them too.
Another cracking homebrew review gents! Thankyou
Why thank you too, for watching and the kind comment too.

be careful, it's very drinkable! It would be interesting to know how long it takes to be drinkable from the barrel?

I'll have to put this on list.
I think it can take a bit longer to condition in a barrel than a bottle.

Nige here, personally I would use an ale yeast, the Kviek yeast I used I would use for stronger beers.
That is dangerous at 8.5% 😂.
Anders here, I can confirm I'm having one now. Not only 8.5% but quite lovely too. A dangerous combo as you say.

Nige here, I used 150g of ordinary sugar. I use this to work out priming amounts. www.brewersfriend.com/beer-priming-calculator/
@@nigeandersextraordinarybee3723Thanks Nige. Good job I asked...would have used less than that if I'm honest. Cheers👍
