I’m genuinely surprised this song came out in 2020. It’s surprisingly amazing! I never thought a song from the 2020s would ever sound this good. Why doesn’t true musical talent like NINA get recognized in the mainstream media? Time to add her to my list of favorite artists. The Snow White: A Tale of Terror video with this version of the song brought me here.
This is as rock and metal-ey as it gets for a synthpop song.. I wouldn't be surprised if Nina or Aztec Records would release a metal synth song one day (I'm talking triplet beats and double pedals and guitar shreds xD)
Yes but Ricky and Kim were medling guitar with synth ever since they arrived. This is not new, it's all been done by the very best. It's just rare today as most things sound and are indeed shit, but Nina isn't. Don't forget though Sandra is Germany's best female singer with great material stretched over 35 years. Not as long as Kim, but certainly nearish.
Utterly amazing and to be honest, I've found this more exciting and enticing and up to the minute than the 'Numinous' single released in March, apart from it's ode to its earlier betters in 'Stay Awhile'. Like other collaborations she does, I love the way Kim takes over so much ion that it becomes one of her own songs, ditto Ricky's mass influence added to it. Nina can now follow in the extremely rare and regal path created by Kim and Sandra yonks ago and still walked now by them as they continue to do excellent music. The odd cool new girl may come out from somewhere now and then prehaps, if lucky, but that's just a start. Can Nine do this for the next 40 years so far and remain great as she does it. No, but try.
What I love about artists like Nina is that I feel she transcends the typical Female European dance music singer. Lau on drums those drums . Love love the music. The wire is my favorite from the new album.
The highlights from NINA's classic album Synthian, reimagined by some of the hottest names in Synthwave like Robert Parker, Das Mörtal, Highway Superstar, Sung and Maethelvin as well as Aztec's very own Zenith Volt and Ends 84. ► snd.click/SynthianTheRemixes ⚡
