Hi! I'm Prepper Zan & I've been documenting what we're going through here in Houston Tx., it's been horrifying! Food shortages, water contamination, dealing with freezing cold weather with no electricity! I'm trying to get the word out to all of the Prepping community so we as Prepper can further sharpen our skills as Prepper's & be prepared for the worse case scenario! This has been like the Apocalypse!
2:56 or, as many of us call it, a _hatchet._ That's said, I've oft been referring to the Fiskars brush axe as a 'billhook'. It's another economical tool which might win over the hatchet if one wants to save a little weight & needs more emphasis on brush clearing duties.
Speaking of firestarter, have you ever used the natural material kapok? It's often used as filling in pillows, furniture, toys, and so on. In its raw, uncleaned state it's really cheap (I've seen it on eBay for about $15 a pound.) One pound of this stuff will last you through probably 250 camping trips. Put as much as you can on a waterproof match container, pull out a bunch the size of a quarter (a match case will hold probably 200 bunches that size, it compacts REALLY small.) Fluff it up, put it in a pile of sticks and it'll almost catch a spark if you even think about sparking it. I've NEVER seen anything catch fire like this stuff from a spark, not even Maya Dust (fatwood shaved down to salt granule size.) Every jump kit, bugout bag, or 72 hour kit I have (not to mention my regular camping stuff) has a fire kit, all with a bottle of kapok. I use old small aspirin or Advil bottles. Give it a try.
I really like these vids. Gives everyone an idea of what's out there , and affordable. I also like that you mention you've personally owned/used. Awesome work!
I got two Guidesmen multi tools at Menards for free after rebate before Christmas. They do this pretty often with various things. Right now you can get hand sanitizer for free.
Chris keep these coming, I bought 10 of the Wow A1S tactical lights thanks to your videos. Waaaay better than anything else out there, especially for the price!!! Thanks brother!

You forgot to add that the beeswax candle can be used to waterproof fabric and that in a pinch bees wax can be used to coat a cut or scrape to help keep if from getting infected if you don't have a bandage.

@William Mills do you not have 30 seconds to go download Instagram? Then maybe you’d know why he hasn’t been posting on RUclips. Maybe you wouldn’t haye him so much.
@@ethanthomas5393 well I get what he means. Not everyone is an active user of social media/has an account.(like I don’t have Instagram or Twitter). I have that exact solar panel bank, it's pretty amazing, but it is a dense and proportionally heavy bit of gear to carry. I still never leave without it
what is the output of the solar panels on it? I thought it would be cool to have something like that, but the panels would take like 100 hours of strong sun to charge the massive battery.
@@nanomachines2985 Those specs sound like the outputs on the USB ports. I mean of the panel itself. At that price and size, I'd say it's probably a 3W panel, which would take days of direct sun to charge the battery a single time.

if you are feeling fancy and want to spend 50 to 100 on a cold steel, I have the SR 1 Lite, The Air Lite, Code 4, and also Rajah III and all are worth the $ with the SR 1 Lite being a beast.. I also reccomend Steel Will's Cut Jack or Spyderco's Tenacious. Both of them are around the mid 40's as far as price goes.
