Or a stick, a wooden baseball bat, a sling launching a rock, or a well-aimed pair of chopsticks between the fingers of a punching hand. Grundy, having lots of natural vegetation in his body, was a BBE to that Green Lantern.
@@michaelcurtin524 I thought you were referring to Green Lanterns before the Green Lantern corps, where Alan Scott was the only one known, and the others were alternate universe Alan Scott Green Lanterns. Miscommunication, my bad. But, considering you were referring to the post-Scott Green Lanterns, a #2 pencil isn't completely covered in yellow... so, the yellow vulnerability doesn't apply unless IT'S completely painted yellow. For decades, I wondered why people didn't make yellow slugs for guns and yellow shrapnel for bombs.
Surtur was clearly going to win, so unless Alan gave him some access to space travel that he didnt otherwise have, he took the only course of action possible.
The modern Green Lantern Corp was inspired by E.E. (Doc) Smith's Lensman SF book series which featured dozens of aliens and humans given powerfull Lens by a benevolent anicent alien race. Note: Series contains scenes that may seem racist and sexist by modern standard.
Tenko and The Guardians Of Magic a 1995 Short lived cartoon from Saban Entertainment that got lost in the shuffle among others

So back in the day both Green Lanterns could be taken down by a #2 pensil.

@@That80sGuy1972 yeah but unless they were painted yellow they would've only effected Alan Scott

Does anyone know the name of the song being played at 15:30. I love the cosmic sound.
Disrespectful to the Spectre.
I agree my friend. Spectre could have easily taken this foe down. I am glad there are other DC fans who understand the true power of The Spectre
