I've had this for 2 years and its one of my best looking keyboards esp with that iCue RGB. The keys are more on the dull thocky side though. So far no issues with the space bar actuation but thats becos i rarely assign any action to the spacebar playing FPS games. Thanks for the upload i didnt know i have white key options!
@Chill Dad Reviews. I enjoyed this video, and would now like to do the same to my new K70 RGB Pro... Were the Hyper X Pudding keys a perfect swap for your K100? If so, do you think it would be the same for my K70 RGB PRO? Thank you
@@chilldadreviews Thank you! I also love the black and white vibe. I have a buddy helping me build my first DIY PC build on Saturday. All centered around a White/Black NZXT H7 Flow Case. This look for my keyboard will be perfection. Subbed!
I just bought this keyboard a bit ago, and maybe it's just me, but the short actuation distance has been an issue causing lots of accidental presses. Can't tell you how many times I've started walking left because my hand is resting slightly too heavy on the "a" key. I also have had issues with games that require a fast double tap of space because it has to go fully up to be able to be pressed again. I really like everything else about it (other than the crashing, it's not just you), but I'll probably be returning it :(
Nope! I also had times when just resting my fingers would accidentally press keys. They need to implement on future keyboards a way to adjust that actuation distance. I believe Steelseries has a keyboard that you can customize that distance but once again they don't look as SEXY!
I returned mine. It was supposed to be a replacement for the much older Strafe RGB. Corsair nailed that keyboard it was silent and meant to be used for productivity too. This keyboard the K100 is a straight up gimmick. Meant more for a teenager who's going to be mashing AWSD. I've used a lot of keyboards and this one went straight back in the box after about 5 minutes of using it. It's so bad and gimmicky that I would consider it more a toy than an actual keyboard.
Here ( Holland ) the normal price is 259 USD ( 239 euro ) im hoping it will be on some black friday sale. Would love to buy it at 150 Euro ( 160 USD ) So far that seems like a price thats right for what you get.
Corsair K100 RGB Optical-Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard with OPX RGB Optical-Mechanical Key Switches and AXON Hyper Processing Technology for 4X Faster and 44-Zone RGB Light Edge *(Black)* vs Corsair K100 RGB Optical-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - *Midnight Gold* Opx RGB Opticalmechanical Keyswitches - Axon Hyper-Processing Technology for 8X Faster Throughput - 44-Zone RGB Lightedge Which one Sounds better? and is better than the other one
There isnt a difference in those 2 keyboards you mention besides the color of the face plate of the board. Ones black and the other one is a midnight gold color if your thinking about getting either one its all based on which way aesthetically your trying to go with your set up. I bought the black one because I enjoy neutral colors and it was on sale.
@@tacotuesday8207 one is *4X* Faster and 44-Zone RGB Light Edge (Black) and one is *8X* Faster Throughput - 44-Zone RGB Lightedge anyway i have dropped the idea on getting this and instead i am thinking about getting Corsair K70 RGB PRO Mechanical USB C Gaming Keyboard, Backlit RGB LED, Cherry MX Speed Silver Keyswitches, Black is it worth it in 2024 and it around $153 and k100 is around $283
@dragoonxgamer k70 pro is a nice keyboard too it was one I was considering because it also has the (8000 polling rate) I got my k100 on sale for $180 and I liked few extra things it had They have the k100 8x (8000 polling rate) in both colors midnight gold and black it also has 2 switch options cherry silvers or corsair OPXs I didn't see a 4x on the website
@@tacotuesday8207 its double the price and does even justify the double price just for the macros. Anyway i wanna ask which one sounds better speed silver or opx?
What are the components of your stormtrooper setup? Estetically it looks fire
Thanks for the review, I just bought those key caps. It will also go with my black and white theme of my rig.
Welcome! B&W looks so clean 👌🏾

Yes! Really wish the icue was more intuitive!
I've had this keyboard for years now and never experienced a crash.
It has gotten better since I made this video so it could have been something software related in my new build.
