It's dumpster season! Business is absolutely booming right now, and we're hustling harder than ever to keep up with demand. We're making strategic moves to expand our fleet and service area, and I'm pouring every ounce of energy into growing this business.
But let's be real, running this solo while my right-hand man, Keegan, is off enjoying some well-deserved vacation is no walk in the park. I'm stoked for him to recharge, but I'm definitely feeling the pressure. You don't realize how much you rely on someone until they're not there!
On a brighter note, our new Kenworth truck is on its way to Texas, and I can't wait to unveil our big plans for it. I owe my contact Phil with Sancrest Trailers a big thank you, and I truly value his help more than ever! He's gone the extra mile for me on more than one occasion. The new truck is going to be a game-changer for the business.

have you considered a DIY dumpster operation, kind of like "you-haul-it-to-me" with mini-tub/pans/trailers of varying sizes that a customer can move 24/7? because not everything is a 14 yard trash size.

Love the channel and watching the growth! Just a heads up though, one CDL driver to another, if that truck has any DOT number on it, you’re not allowed to have any alcohol in it while driving. Doesn’t matter if it’s unopened or empty, that could cause a real bad day if the wrong officer saw it
@JukeboxProductionsDJ definitely! When we stopped at the station I actually loaded it in my buddies truck. There are no DOT numbers on it yet, but not worth the trouble either way!

It has up and gravity down. Definitely not ideal. As the project continues we plan to put a more appropriate control on it
Do you not put boards under the wheels of the dumspter so you don’t damage driveways?
I’ve never dropped one without it and just worried to damage driveways but they’re a pain in the ass to bring everytime.
We do put down a lot of boards! But we may be going with a different solution here soon instead! To be more consistent

How did you find Keegan? Did you just post an ad looking for help or a mutual friend?
He had just gotten out of the military the year before, and I previously had worked with his mom at a Mortgage company. I overheard her talking about how he had a CDL and was looking for a new job.
From there, we started talking. He did part-time while still at his other job, and I told him if he ever wanted to go all in, let's do it.
And here we are a couple years later!

We have a few options depending what county we deliver in. But each one is 20+ minutes

To put that last dumpster you put on the street did you need a permit to place it on the street?
We have a contract that says any permits needed by a city is the responsibility of a homeowner to obtain. Luckily, since we have such short term rentals, we have never had an issue with the cities near us. Some of the other companies have, since they usually leave their dumpsters for 2 weeks or more
