Following along on your neighborhood challenge. A few years ago, I did a rags to riches in this neighborhood and they had to furnish their whole house with dumpster found items and items crafted on the woodworking table. They totally did it. It was also winter when I played that challenge, so I knew what to expect. When you bulldoze all the lots in the Port Promise neighborhood, this area doesn't have much, just 2 dumpsters and 2 wild soy plants where you can collect soy wax (available on Mon). You lose 1 dumpster when you bulldoze the Maker Space. No bathrooms, no fishing, no food stands (you can dumpster dive for meals), but there are some benches around to nap on and your sim can nap in the dumpster. My sim had the squeamish, vegetarian & loner traits & the master maker aspiration. I placed them on the Shipping Views empty lot. When your sim dives for meals, you can also get harvestables, some of which are in season. Snow came and went during the week so I was able to plant them. A lot of dumpster dives are burned items, but if you purchase a recycler, you can get bits & pieces for the maker aspiration. The wax can be used for candle making ($16 a block; $25 profit for a candle). Recycler and candle making station are off-the-grid. Best thing to get is the Mitey Mitey Farm - Insect Home ($165 from buy mode). Harvest crickets ($15 simoleons) and then you can make popcorn crickets when you get a stove, fridge and counter. Only Level 1 cooking required. My sim repaired the sinks and showers they found, and then you can scavenge for parts and then rummage again. Then you can place the pile outside and it turns into trash fruit, which your sims can eat. My sim was able to furnish their house with the found items. I did need to purchase a kitchen counter however. First item bought was the pee bush for bladder needs. First dumpster dive item was a bike, which is handy when going from one dumpster to the other; the last item they dumpster dove was the dirty double bed. They were very rich by the end of the week and I built them a container home. So, yes, even a squeamish sim can survive. I was pretty hard on my sim and their needs were bad most of time, but that didn't stop them from dumpster diving. Your sim dumpster dove a good supply. Looking forward to the next neighborhood.

I don't usually play in the Eco Lifestyle world, but I love the build and CAS items.
