Bulgaria. Iris Garden lunch in Sunny Beach, then a festival.

- A big day, we have lunch at Iris Garden, just a 10 minute walk from our apartment. It has a shady garden with a fountain, ideal for a hot day in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria on the Black Sea .
The meal with drinks cost us 52 Leva or 27 euro.
We then head to Old Nessebar for the annual Nessebar Day celebrations. Fantastic live music, drone display and fireworks.
The Old Town is full of people, everywhere is full, a great atmosphere for the evening.
Typically we get pleasant, warm, still evenings here in August in Sunny Beach.
We live locally and really enjoy attending these cultural events that happen regularly in Bulgaria.

We went to Iris about 3 times recently, every meal was great, love the waterfall effect also, was in Nesebar on wednesday, they were setting up the festival, we went to restaurant Neptun, and found a small cove , absolutely love this place
So good! We were there for a birthday in May then again couple of weeks back. The menu has interesting items on it we dont see elsewhere in Sunny Beach.
@@sunnybeachlife5860 Have you seen that small cove at the end of old Nesebar, its a great place at the beach, and not many people were there, unlike SB👍

Iris great looking traditional Bulgarian restaurant, however, they don't have Kavarma on the menu 😞
Plenty of places do that but we love something different sometimes
@@sunnybeachlife5860 me to, I had a good meal in Iris, staff were nice, but when in Rome as they say, had my 25 anniversary of goimg to the Black Sea, dread they will join the Euro in the next year or so, example 5 lev beer will be 5 Euros, that will be the end for me

We love it opens early season and closes late, just a short walk from our apartment.
"Better late than never", they say. I stayed at the Astoria this past May. Lovely. I just cannot stay away from Sunny Beach so I've just now booked another week for the 28th. of September. I ought to have asked for your advice on the Aparthotel Baikal before booking, but I didn't. Is it good news or bad news? ❤
We have German friends for whom it's a top choice . Will be very quiet around it as that area closes earlier than others.

The only one is real full one is Shaghai at the Barcello Mall. Another in the walkway opposite Smartline Meridian that comes out at Lotus Hotel does chinese amongst other things

From flower street head south 10 mins to Laguna park hotel, 5 corners go past front of that Iglika on right it's on the right. You have to pass Mena cocktail bar on the left which is hard enough.

It can be helpful to use sat nav on your phone. i started using it while watching Adrew's postings before we went to sunnybeach to get a feel for where things are. Then found it very useful when we went there to find my way around. Especially in Nessebar it helped us find the ECO bar.
