Literally like I love my mum but she doesn’t teach me nothing about hygiene like I was never told to floss so my breath probably was stanky I was just told to brush for like 2 minutes and even then she never made sure I brush my teeth so I went days to a week without brushing and now when ever I’m just feeling dead inside I rarely brush my teeth but I’m trying to get better

As a dental assistant, I just wanted to add a couple things to the oral hygiene list:
    1. The 2-minute timer for brushing your teeth doesn't necessarily matter. That's just the time it takes an average person to brush the front, sides, and back of every tooth. So as long as you're brushing every surface of your teeth (and tongue) how long it takes doesn't matter all that much.
    2. Please use an alcohol-free mouth wash. The alcohol in mouthwash can slowly deteriorate your teeth enamel, making your teeth sensitive overtime. Do not use mouthwash more than twice a day.
    3. floss before you brush, not after. This helps fluoride retention.
Teeth are important for all aspects of your health, so keep them clean, babes! ❤

As a 30 yr old who put off going to the dermatologist for years and thought I'd just grow out of my acne one day, I highly recommend going to the dermatologist (if you can). They helped to solve my acne problems with mostly over the counter items. Turns out salycilic acud and benzol peroxide were making my skin worse! Although now I have a prescribed face wash, it is about $70 but lasts me 6 months. Definately helped me feel good about my "glow-up"

I'm a vanilla/peppermint/coffee scent girl (basically think a thin mint cookie), absolutely love these scents in the summer, in the winter I normally swap the peppermint for cinnamon, and the smells like a cinnamon roll instead.

this video is absolutely incredible!! You have such a gift for expressing difficult to talk about ideas in such a comforting, judgement-free way! Honestly they need to show this video in schools because it is absolutely perfect as an overview for themes that arent often learned in day-to-day life / school. Thank you again for being the older sister that so many young girls/people need!!

All because of you, I have had depression, and you’ve helped me start to smell and feel better girl… like smell good feel good, all I wanted to say was thank you,

Tips to the girls with a greasy scalp(including me😂):
    - It’s okay to wash your hair more than once a week! I used to believe that it was unhealthy washing your hair more than once a week, but everybody has a different scalp and lifestyle.
    - Find shampoo’s with cleansing ingredients. My favourite shampoo’s that really does a great job at cleaning are: “Ouai Detox Shampoo” and “Pantene Volume and Body”
    - Using Micellar water after working out. Try putting micellar water on a cotton pad and remove some of the sweat and build off on your scalp after working out if you don’t have any time to wash your hair.

As someone who has thick hair and circulation issues that causes reaching places like the back of the top of my head difficult, let me tell you, a shampoo scrubber is literally a miracle. I've been using one for years now, Fully agree on that one girlie. Make sure when you're done with it, you tilt on it side so upside down so the spikes/bristles are facing the air and not laying on the porcelain of your shower, helps prevent any mold growth and personally I find that it just leaves it feeling cleaner.

hey jasmine! do you have any tips for smelling good without fragrances? i have sensitive skin and can't use any products with added fragrances, but i still wanna smell fresh 😔 without the fragrances, i end up either not smelling like anything or smelling like my body odors (that's so humbling to say-)...if you or anyone else has any tips, please help!

Have you tried scented lotions? I usually like to use scented lotions for situations I know people will be close to me for and it usually works wonders for me and usually earns me a compliment. But since you said you have sensitive skin I was wondering if that would affect you still? Or if you want you could spray fragrances on your clothes the night before or a couple hours before wearing it let it dry down and wear it like that. I’ve noticed that my perfumes can last for weeks when I put them on my clothes.

Thank you for mentioning how nasty loofahs are!! I wish someone told me sooner. (Granted I couldn’t afford anything else) but now that I got my $12 African net sponge from TikTok shop it’s changed my hygiene game!! Although be aware there are a lot of fakes out there- the real ones will have knots in between all the weaves. The fake ones scratch the heck out of your skin!! Also fantastic for those with disabilities who can’t reach certain body parts etc. :3
