Thanks for your thorough review. I especially appreciate that you included your thoughts on usability and effectiveness from an illustrator's perspective.
Hi, do you know if the lag in Illustrator has been fixed in driver updates for this? I'm looking at getting a pen display and need to decide. I use Illustrator a lot.
I'm looking for a drawing tablet that works *WITHOUT* a computer! No PC, no Desktop OR Laptop. I JUST want a tablet that works on its own, is portable, at least 13.6-15.9 inches (not too big but not too small) Do any of you have recommendations? (That's under $500)
I'm also searching for such a dream tablet with no pc connection, but until now didn't find much, it's like every tablet out their runs like monitor, like no one wants to go out of their room:(, there are so many good tablets but they are monitors unfortinatlly, for me it's beyond logic to get extra weight with u every time u want to draw outside because the tablets already heavy, sorry for the long talk, anyway i'm considering about samsung galaxy tab A, but don't think it's built specifically for artists like wacom or...., still searching though
That is difficult because most Windows tablet are quite expensive, and the cheap ones lag. Do check out the iPad 2020 or Samsung Tab S6 Lite (more worth the money) instead.
You have uses many display graphics tablet so you are perfect man to suggest me, I want a display graphics tablet with 15- 16 inch very accurate (ex: like writing very small text or detail works). I am confused , gaomon 1560 or veikk vk 16 or xp pen 15 (which is best among these in pen accuracy and everything). Please if any one know just sugget me.
@Teoh: i think i like your vids better than almost any one. I watch aaron R's vids as. You are so pleasant to watch :) Question for you ( and others) : I use a friends cintiq 2200 uxd? or something. its very old i really like it. i use krita with it. Sometimes i use corel paint. I am looking to go mobile. i want to spend about 600 dollars for: A 'fold in half' type of windows 10 computer or a win10 tablet, i5 to i7, 16 gb, and SSD, that i can use a pen with a minimum of skid marks from palm rejection setting, that has of course has SOME levels of pressure and reliable support incase of breakage/replacement Can you make any suggestions? Unless krita works on Ipad otherwise I have to say: No to IPAD and no to Mac. Any suggestions?
My general recommendation has already been this: If you already have a computer, the iPad maybe be a better choice because it has better drawing performance. You can still use your computer do, well, the usual computer stuff that the iPad is lousy at. Any reason to not getting iPad? There aren't many good Windows tablet at the US $600 price range. Even the Surface Pro 2017 is still around US $800. Lenovo Miix 520 might fit in your budget. Drawing performance is quite similar to Surface Pro. Anyway, I've reviews for all these devices at www.parkablogs.com/content/list-of-art-products-reviewed
@Teoh Yi Chie Oh. Reason is that interested in a fold in half thing, is that I am also a programmer and would like to multi-purpose it: java, eclipse, python, ruby, VMs
Hello. I want to improve myself about drawing, I am not enough. I have deficiencies what can I do. Which tablet should I buy for the starting level. Can you answer please? thanks already.
If it's just drawing, you can actually just start with paper and pen. If you want to learn digital drawing, I suggest starting with cheaper smaller screens first, like the Artisul D13 or XP Pen Artist 13. If you have more budget, then perhaps the larger ones like Artisul D16 or XP Pen Artist 16. I've reviews for all of them at www.parkablogs.com/tags/pen-display Check out the pros and cons list for each.
At that price range, most tablets don't support active stylus so the type of styluses you can get for taking notes are Adonit Dash 3, Adonit Snap, rubber tip stylus or disc tip (not good for taking notes)
I mean note taking The ones that I saw on your channel are all for drawing The money is not the problem, but the place I am staying in now has bad electricity current and it spoils the charging point and the chargers so it will be hard for me to buy new chargers for ipad pro for example
So I want a video about other tablets that are cheaper for note take so that at least if there is problems in the charger I can buy another one or I can fix the tablet easily, I. Vase i bought ipad pro there is no place here in this area to fix apple product, I had problems before in the magport of my macbook i coudnt find anyone to fix for me
I love how this guy doesnt waste our time straight to the point, honest, clear and helpful
Great review ! Deep in detail, Straight to the point...unbiased one too
Thanks 😁
One of the best reviews I've seen! Thank you so much for all that detail!

finally someone who reviews and tests the product on as many art programs as possible!
Yeah, I hate those reviewers who use an expensive program that I would never be able to afford.
Thanks for your thorough review. I especially appreciate that you included your thoughts on usability and effectiveness from an illustrator's perspective.
This is the best review I've found of this tablet so far! Thank you!
This made me certain of which tablet to get once I buy one.

Hi, do you know if the lag in Illustrator has been fixed in driver updates for this? I'm looking at getting a pen display and need to decide. I use Illustrator a lot.
Excellent Review, Very informative Thank You :)
Did it come color calibrated or neeeded some tweaking? I'm really interested in this one at that price tag.
Not sure if they are colour calibrator but the default colours look fine

Maybe the iPad 9.7 inch 2018, iPad Pro 10.5 (second hand) with Apple Pencil.

@@3dartstudent973 The iPad 2018 is good. If you have more budget, the iPad Pro 2017 and 2018 are good.
@@teohyc, I'll take a look at it, thank u
please review new XP pen artist 12 cause ur reviews are great, honest and detailed
I have it but not sure when the review will be up. It takes a lot of time to make these tech reviews.
@@teohyc it's ok. I'm willing to wait cause I'm planning to buy cheap pen display tablet
I'm reviewing the Artist 12 too.
do you know if the driver issues got fixed in driver updates since this video?
Great review also do u have any old or unused screen drawing tablets that you don't need or use anymore
I only give these out as prizes to local art events. Too heavy and expensive to ship overseas
8000 pressure sensitivity? whoaa
8192 pressures of sensitivity to be more particular
This vs xp pen 13.3 pro vs huion 12 pro? Which one?
Thanks for your sharing, now the driver has been updated, some of those issues mentioned in have been solved :) www.veikk.com
How do you get to the drawing screen?
Where you ACTUALLY get to DRAW
Does it have any jitter? If it doesn't, that would be great
Tuli0hWut 😂
can you recommend a budget drawing tablet that work without a computer with a microsoft OS?
That is difficult because most Windows tablet are quite expensive, and the cheap ones lag. Do check out the iPad 2020 or Samsung Tab S6 Lite (more worth the money) instead.

XP Pen. Because they have 18 months warranty
Thank you very much. And what about xp pen accuracy as compared to veikk vk 1560.
Verry well done Review.
I'm having a really hard deciding, which should I get the huion gt-190 or this one?
Probably Huion. It's easier to reach the support staff if anything happens.
Can I use this outside or should I only use it inside
This is actually a monitor, not a tablet, so it's meant for indoor use.
And is it comfortable to hold on the back
It's comfortable but it should stay rested on the table.
Teoh Yi Chie okay thank you
