Today Isaiah 30:21 reminded me of the time our Lord gave me very necessary directions. I was going through the gate leading to my garden, which was to the left. In a split second, He directed me to the RIGHT ! I just knew I was to go that way. I walked several steps and then turning in a circle I went back toward the gate. In awe I saw a small snake, where I would’ve gone if I had ignored the Lord! I was carrying a shovel called a sharp shooter ( one that is long and tapering) . I stood close enough to that snake that I could kill it. Disgusting as it was and looking where I would aim then looking away, I brought the shovel down and beheaded it. I knew it was dead, but I couldn’t look at it. I ran into the house and told my kids what happened. My son went out and came back to tell me it was a rattlesnake…a baby one at that. “ Mom, a baby one has more venom in it than an adult!” “This is the way…Walk in it,” The Lord was telling me where to step and when to turn, where to look, and what to do. I want to follow His way as closely as I did that day. Jesus help me to hear Your still soft voice always. By the way, growing up I would skip the pages of our encyclopedia where snakes were pictured. They were so scary to me. Here in Houston the Lord let me know He would get me over that fear. He has done exactly that, I’ll spare you my other snake stories…lol ❤️in Jesus,!
