The one thing really like about this installment is how well they treat one dimensional villainous jobbers like Baraka and Reptile and not only give them more depth, but make them genuine heroes.
They created a brand new universe just to contain Grandma Bo's powers. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, two beloved characters from the original Mortal Kombat timeline, would have been instantly destroyed if they had faced such a powerful opponent in hand-to-hand combat.
