I couldn't stop watching! These roommate horror stories are the stuff of nightmares. The eerie atmosphere created by the narrators drew me in from the very beginning, and I found myself completely engrossed in each tale. It's amazing how something as seemingly mundane as finding a roommate can turn into such terrifying experiences. This video is a testament to the power of storytelling and its ability to evoke strong emotions in the audience. Bravo!
That is the exact reason I will not have a roommate. I don’t like living with other people for those reasons either stealing my stuff, being creepy being psychotic with mental problems or getting really OCD about everything. When I lived on my own, I worked my ass off to get to where I didn’t need a roommate because when the economy went under in 2022, I had a chick who wanted to be roommates with me, but when it came to sign the papers, she would flake me out at the last minute, and that goes to show how these people are in the long term they’ll flake you and abandon you and then you have to take care of yourself anyways
Your comment is a summary of my house-hopping college years prior to 2013. Staying long term (no more than a year) was out of the question for dumb reasons. Selfishness. Holier-than-thou attitudes. Losing the house. Excessive noise. Piss poor conditions. Theft. At the time everyone I knew was a flake and now after living on my own for ten years, no friends and very little family left alive. Going solo is best, especially when a third shift worker. We're perceived as lepers, a social pariah despite being quite essential to the economy while everyone else sleeps. Fifteen years ago I was in the exact situation you mentioned, only it was some flamboyantly gay dude who broke contact and never showed for contract signings or even touring some places. "Oh, no, adulting things? Safe space!"
Story 1: Smart for calling the police and Kevin has issues or problems. Also, how does Kevin remember to lock his bedroom door, but not the front door? Doesn't make sense Story 2: Joe is creepy and he was stalking this guy Story 3: Strange Creepy Roommate
Story #2 was one of the most passive guys I’ve ever heard of, can’t believe he even enjoys video games. I mean, Joe wasn’t a great roommate, but he was too passive as well - and since he didn’t even say “goodbye” or make up an excuse for moving out (he could have done that last minute or even left a note), Joe took that for the insult that it was and was looking for some kind of closure. Albeit he went about it wrong, but OP kinda asked for it. “Joe” (if it’s true that was a fake name) also got warned, so fair is fair.
I rented a room from a guy who hid a camera in my bedroom wall vent. He also was putting something in my beverages when I left them unattended. It started messing with my kidneys and bladder. I know he was because once I started never leaving my beverages unattended the kidney problems stopped
Story 3 - her roommate was snooping in her room when she unexpectedly came home (or possibly using something of hers, like the laptop, etc). So, she hid, hoping to come out when you were asleep. Awkward. Worst case scenario, she was using drugs and looking around for stuff/money to steal as her habit was growing. That’s the most likely reason for being out at late hours and secretive about it, less likely they were hookups unless she was getting paid for sexual services (also possible) and thought she was keeping it secret from you. Either way, ofc, it’s sketchy. Great choices and great job reading, thanks!
I'll never understand why the people in these stories don't reach out to authorities sooner. The very first time someone does something you should let the authorities know so that there's a record of it. Even if you don't have proof it's best to let someone know just in case. Plus it never hurts to keep something to defend yourself, even if it's a metal bat.
I would have liked to have known the details of how that move out with Kevin went! Like, did the OP tell Kevin or just disappear? What about the lease contract??
Story 2 - Joe prob just asked around “where the hell did my roommate go” and someone who works at the school told him. Simple as that. Not a big mystery. Since it was impossible to catch this wimpy dude walking around, he had to confront him when he KNEW he was in his new dorm - prob just to get closure. It’s pretty insulting to just disappear like that and then he was forced to get a new roommate. But, yeah, Joe sounds a little “sus” as well. Maybe his name was fake, maybe not. It’s gossip.
Only issue I have with story 3 is that you made a big deal about her being gone at different hours but then it’s okay for you to be out late at night? You’re both adults, she can leave the house at any time if she wants to. Not her fault you’re a light sleeper. I feel like there’s something missing in that story. Something the OP isn’t telling.
Yaaay it’s a good day!
The likelihood of Kevin NOT being the "robber" is slim. That was his red herring -- that you would think it was a break-in
Nowadays I don’t share home anymore. But I did share for some periods of my life…and finding a good roommate is like winning the LOTTERY! Believe me!🙄
True I used to have 3 roommates not anymore
Same for neighbors. UGH. But walls do help.

Wonder if he left the door open so if he got caught, it was an excuse for his creepy behavior
Spooks has done it again
Ahhh the joys of living alone!!

Crazy.he was trying drug u?
@shanenice5380 I'm not sure exactly what he was trying to do, but I moved out as soon as I found another place...very creepy dude
You found the camera?
You didn’t get tested for the kidney issues?
This is some far-fetched stuff w/o proof. #gangstalking
Thanks for your hard work!
You HAVE to be friends with someone you LIVE with. This goes for roommates AND relationships.

I was considering getting a roommate when my lease ends in a few months (to save some money) but I just can’t get over the horror stories I’ve heard.
