Original soundtrack to Madhouse & Kitty Films' "Twilight of the Cockroaches" OST. For the longest time I had always thought that this movie never had an OST release, but as it turns out...it does! The album name makes no mention of the anime's name whatsoever so not many results pop up on Google as a result.
Lots of good ambience here, and I also enjoy the ED theme being interpreted in different ways throughout some of the tracks here. Unfortunately I also think this album may not be a good representation of the music used within the film. I've only seen snippets of the movie so far but even within those snippets alone I noticed one prominent BGM used near the movie's end that wasn't included on the allbum...as a result, I have a feeling the album left out a good chunk of music from the movie.
Considering the status of both the movie and the OST...I don't think we'll get a complete release of the score anytime soon :(
Last comment: this had already been posted onto YT but that rip in particular completely cut out all the silent portions at the beginning & ending of each track. Why? Idk. However this rip here fixes that, thus presenting the album's true full length.

Oh wow I didn't even realise this was an OST for Cockroaches with that cover! But great to see it uploaded here!
Twilight of the Cockroaches is a really bizarre little movie. Half live action half anime, anti-war but with cockroaches... VERY interesting and probably only something that could be made in the 80s.

Thank you for the work on this, Marty. And also for solving the OST release riddle. “Twilight of the Cockroaches” was a very good and interesting movie. Recommended. The theme was basically that a man will often abandon hanging out with even the dearest of friends who were with you in the worst of times for the love of a woman.
