This is marvelous! Sublime. The best, most intelligent, witty, introspective, funny people in one documentary: Grant, Steve Martin, Graydon Carter, James L Brooks, and Helena Bonham Carter. And who knew Steve Martin and Wynona Ryder were friends! How awesome!
Richard E. Grant was friends with both of them through being in films with them, perhaps he brought Winona over to Steve's that day.
He also friends with daniel day lewis and paul giamatti who role as john adams on hbo

Richard mentioned that he went in to talk to James L brooks for a movie starring Nicholson and holly hunter. I couldn’t help but wonder if: 1. Holly hunter is actually helmet hunt. 2. If Richard went in to audition for the role of Simon in As Good As It Gets, since it was released 1997 and this clog was 1996. Nicholson and Hunter were in another Brooks movie called Broadcast News, but that was in the 80’s. I wonder what movie he’s referring to and why Owen Wilson was also in the room. Maybe he was also auditioning for the role of Simon too.
