I think it's better than the OEM hard wired one. If the hardwired one fails then you have to take the whole thing apart again and replace it. Also like you said it has the extra ports and coils. This seems way better. No one uses the cigarette lighter anyway.
I agree. If you don’t need to disassemble parts of the car then why would you. Each time you do you risk the chance of more rattles. 👍🏻
Clean! Definitely nice but I'm not really a fan of wireless charging in the car. Why? Cause I like to use my phone for Android Auto or Apple Carplay. Since wireless AA isn't available on any stock oem setup at this time we have no other option other then plugging in the cord which actually charges your phone faster. Wireless Apple Carplay is only available for high end BMWs and I believe one other brand.
If I'm not using AA or Apple Carplay then I rather quick charge my phone since I'm in the car which is all about getting as much juice as you can whenever possible. A quick 15 mins trip in the car will give you a couple of hours of phone usage when quick charging vs wireless charging which probably give you an additional 30 mins.
As for the design it's nice that it's flat but only if you can't see the wire, so a hardwire would be the best option but it's work 😊. For the plug n play option I wish they would've made the left side higher then have the USB plugs stick out in the front instead. This would prevent the phone from sliding all the way to the left leaving the phone not charging. This would hide any wires as well leaving a more clean look. Am I thinking too much? Hehe. Maybe I should be a designer 🤔 Sorry for the novel.
I hear ya. Yeah the hardwired model would definitely give you that cleaner look but overall I love the design. The plug on this is very small. Smaller than the one for my dashcam. - Do you think keeping this plugged all the time could drain the car’s battery?
- Does the cordless one need a lot or complicated work or is it a thing that any good electrician could do? I suck at those things and will never miss with it myself :P
- Have you checked the wireless CarPlay dongle listed on the same website? I think if it works by plugging it in the armrest USB port this car going to be in the next level of luxury :)

Thanks for the feedback. I always leave it plugged in. It won’t drain the battery since power stops when you turn the car off. I highly recommend buying from CarQi wireless.

It will work great. You can’t use it if you plug it in for CarPlay. So it’s good if you aren’t using CarPlay or for another phone.

Hi Jon, so a month ago I purchased this and it worked great with my iPhone 11 Max Pro! It was perfection!!! Well since Apple released the iPhone 13 Pro Max and I upgraded to this model...guess what???? The iPhone 13 Pro Max doesn't sit flush on the charger mat. It is raised ever so slightly with the camera eyes....I'm sooooo annoyed....I was trying to think of solutions and wanted to pick your brain if you had any ideas or any of your followers. Because I LOVE THIS WIRELESS CHARGER and it's an AMAZING addition to my 2020 Accord Sport 2.0. HELP PLEASE!!!!
I have heard that a lot of the new phones don’t work like you mentioned. Not sure if there is a way to make it have a good contact.

Yeah. I would think it would be fine. I doubt that area gets that hot. When my car is hot inside that cubby actually feels like the coolest place on the car to be honest.

In order to use Apple CarPlay you need to plug in your iPhone anyways so what’s the point of having a wireless charging pad?
I don’t use CarPlay every time. I throw my phone on the pad and listen to pandora through Bluetooth. It’s like CarPlay. You can use the steering wheel controls and touch screen to control everything

I personally go with the cheaper one because they do the same thing and work the same.
What if you have a wallet case does it works? What about android phone? And also does it works on iphone 8? Coz they say its only works for higher model of iphone.
As long as it can charge wirelessly it will work. Also if you can charge the wallet case on a normal wireless charger it will work great.

It charges great. I’ve had no issues at all. I can tell you from experience it works better than the oem wireless charger.
It depends on what kind of case you have on your phone, if it’s MagSafe I believe you should be fine

It’s not standard but might be on the touring trim. That would make sense because I know the touring pilot comes standard with it. 👍🏻

Do you have an issue with your stop charging out of nowhere? Mine does that all the time and I have to remove the phone and put it back on the charger a couple times before it starts working somewhat normal

Yes I bought the exact same one that you have and the case is like your. Just a clear thin case and I've removed the case and put the phone without the case and it does the same thing
I have noticed that you have to find that correct spot to lay the phone in. I had mine to the side and noticed that it would kick off with the slightest movement. Now I make sure the phone goes al the way in until it hits the back of the cubby and centered and it works. Maybe try that unless that’s how you do it too
Well the issue with mine is that I'll set it one way and it will charge fine than it will stop charging out of nowhere than a couple seconds later it will start charging again so I contacted the manufacturer and there sending me a replacement because I just bought it a couple weeks ago

Yeah. Me too. This is great though. I throw my phone on the wireless charging pad and use Pandora through Bluetooth. Works perfect and you can utilize your steering wheel controls and a touchscreen to control it all.
I was going to say the same thing, its a cool wireless charging pad, but whats the point if you can't use android auto or carplay. Gotta plug in for those to work, and that charges anyway. Maybe not as fast though. I want wireless android auto to head unit too. Of course there is a stand alone android auto app without the need to go through car head unit. but you would need to angle the wireless pad to see the phone while driving. I guess Ill stick with the plugging in the phone for now. I noticed the pad had usb connection on the pad itself, will android auto or carplay work though the wireless charging pad when plugged into the pad usb's?
Tommy Armour probably not. The USB for CarPlay or AA is specific. Even the other USB’s that come with the car won’t work because it has to be that specific one.

There’s a dongle they sell where you can can plug in and turn it into wireless CarPlay.
I’ve seen another one with a harness that disappear behind the cigarette lighter.. really clean, this thing honestly it just looks ugly.

I got my wireless charger at ichargers.co and its great. You can charger your phone, watch and airpods for 30-15 minutes. That is insane and my battery is great on phone to.

I am. It gets hot but nothing abnormal. All wireless chargers will produce more heat. I like this one because the location keeps it out of the sun and that cubby is naturally cooler than the rest of the car.

The OEM charger is a joke. You have to position the phone just right in order for it to charge. Can this be put over the OEM charger?
I agree. We have it in our pilot snd it’s useless. The oem charger would have to be removed first. It’s easy to do though.

For $90, I paid $70 for my Honda original one on eBay and installed it in less than 20 mins.
Edit: WTF is the 117 volts supposed to indicate? Is it charging your phone with 117 volts, cause that’s bullshit, no phone charges with that voltage.
I read it wrong. It’s 11.7 volts. You found a deal because the oem one is over $200 everywhere I’ve looked.
Honda Jon 11.7 makes way more sense since it’s grabbing 12v from the vehicle, and yeah I got a really good deal, it was originally listed over $100 but got it down to $70.

The OEM charger sucks FYI. It's maybe 10 watts, but I think only 5. I turned it off honestly. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. My Note 10+ charges at it's slowest "normal" speed and my iPhone 11 is super slow too... It doesn't allow fast charging which is almost useless when it's a 2.5 hour charge.
