Great job on this, always loved your voice too Chrissy.....and Brians unmistakable tone on his guitar and style of playing.....Matt on drums....enough said.....great stuff here.
Chrissy Steele, much like Fiona Flanagan, and Saraya, had such an 😍 amazing voice, and deserved 🌎 world wide fame! I love her ( magnet 🧲 to Steele), ❤❤❤❤ album!
Danny and I go back to high school, i started playing bass in grade 9 and Danny figured he wanted to be in a band too. We hung out a lot, super funny guy and we cracked each other up was a shock to see him go too soon. Btw, ironic twist for ya Chrissy... we've ever met but back in the day i played bass with Darby in the short lived project "Plain Jane" also at 86 Street... and do i have the hilarious story that led to this being the worst gig ever!😂 It involves a showcase for Geffen that went wrong in a cosmic kind of way... Cheers😊
If you were to look up "flawless vocal performance" the link to this video should be at the top of the list in bold. I come back to this any time I need goosebumps, the entire band is on point here.
I think I went to that 86th street club a few times. Was awesome from what I can remember. Couldn't wait the line-ups when it first opened. Its the one from Expo right? Hey I use to work as a doorman at Chicago's Tonight/Mugs and Jugs Pub in New West. Did you ever go there ? Or, better question did you play Rockin Tonight ? Or the Zodiac out there ? Them were the days. I can't believe you are still as hot and young as ever. I'm 62 and holdin. Oh here's one. There was this girl that use to sing with the bands back then in the eighties mostly. She must've been 6 foot 2 or 3 or taller. Big blonde girl. Can you remember someone like that? I don't know if she was with any one band but she was a really good singer and performer.
Hi! Yes this is 86 street. I remember all those places and played them all. Sure the club wasn’t Vancouver’s Tonight? Never heard of Chicagos Tonight. I think California Dreaming turned into Jugs maybe? I didn’t play The Zodiac. Heard that was a great club! Sorry don’t know of a blonde Amazon female singer with that description. Cheers 🍻
I had the absolute pleasure of being the monitor engineer at 86 Street for this gig, from my position just to the left of the guitar tech that is in most of the shots in this video. Congrats Chrissy on spectacularly filling the vocal role for the Headpins. If I remember correctly... Vancouver Tonight was on Broadway near Kingsway & Main; Chicago Tonight (with phones at each booth) was just NE of Spaghetti Factory in New West and California Dreaming was under The Spaghetti Factory and the New West Skytrain station.@@ChrissySteeleOfficial
Thank you Chrissy for the gift of that amazing voice.

OMG Chrissy kills it. Such power and ability at that range to hold tune. She is fabulous and loved her Magnet to Steel album.
