Thanks for asking, I had the same question. It didn’t seem as though 2.5 minutes per side was enough for such a thick piece of fish, but apparently it’s ok.
Very helpful video. Thanks. The cod looks perfectly cooked to my taste. Undercooked/slimy fish is disgusting. I avoid restaurants because they charge a fortune for greatly undercooked fish, be it cod, tuna or salmon that is inedible.
Do not fry with olive oil. Use avocado oil. Much better... higher smoke point, healthy oil. Pepper and Old Bay seasoning for rub. Less oil, same amount of butter. 👍

Salt lemon pepper little garlic and Old Bay....Good to go.
Could I use this for red snapper??
Perfect. I like my cod cooked this way.
Served it upside down. Even though skinless the skin side down goes down. Def trying this recipe.
there was not skin on that. are you blind?

Sans the bombastic jazz piano music. This is a good video.
If you do two fillets at once do you increase the garlic and butter
I have never had fish with garlic, but will be trying this recipe.
When you cook for 5 minutes, is it 2.5 minutes each side?
Yes till it's hot throughout
Glad you asked
Yeah 5 mins per side is too long unless you like dried out fish. I usually cook 3-4 mins per side depending on thickness
Thanks for asking, I had the same question. It didn’t seem as though 2.5 minutes per side was enough for such a thick piece of fish, but apparently it’s ok.
trop cuit à mon gout
❤❤
Is that basting spoon from the Easy Bake Oven kit?
lol!
Start with presentation side down first, baste, then flip only once & continue to baste. Looks delish either way though.
😋😋😋👏👏👏👍
And now we taco 🌮 😊 ❤
I can't tell if it's overcooked from here lol

Wow,pan fried cod ? with that much butter even the sole of a boot would taste nice
Definitely need to buy fresh and pay the price as the frozen fish is thin and full of water and falls apart!
Cooking time??
only 110K views, so..... not so juicy n delicious? OR people don't know what's good for them?
A cholesterol lover's dream recipe!
Doesn't raise cholesterol in the body. Carbohydrates do. 😊
Sauce?
What kind of fish ?
It says Cod
@@misterg2201😂
Uncooked or Underdone. You shouldn't need a knife to eat fresh cod. When properly cooked, it will just flake apart.
So you mean eat with your fingers? Or like americans just with only fork?
Not when it's frozen. Fresh fish is always better
Do not fry with olive oil. Use avocado oil. Much better... higher smoke point, healthy oil. Pepper and Old Bay seasoning for rub. Less oil, same amount of butter. 👍

I just bit my phone
FYI Pacific Cod is NOT cod. If they are the real cod, there would not haven been Cod Wars against Iceland.
Beware of commercial fish grown in tanks ...
Overcooked.
Why are you using a knife to cut a flaky fish?
Too much salt to an already salty fish
You kill our time
Silly spoon.
You didnt season the ends! Also stop flipping it around. You can damage it that way. One flip. Ok?
tell editor to stop zooming in for everything it creates eye strain

This video is crap. It makes no sense to add pepper before cooking, because the pepper will be burnt.
