probably bc demos aren’t polished. they’re called demos for a reason. they’re not complete songs. when SM bought this song they liked the vibe and then their producers mixed it and made it specifically for the group that they intended it for (whether that was RV or exo it doesn’t matter). the point is, the demo is simply what the songwriter/producer thinks it should sound like and then when they sell it, that person can change it to fit the concept they have in mind. and ofc when the song is mixed it usually changes quite a bit.

What I like about EXO is the diversity of their discography. Imagine if just some few people worked all the time. We wouldn't have much surprising works out there. Because the instrumental are more laid back and chill. The washing machine (or the drilling sound in the drop 😂) is more ear tearing in the exo's version. Its more reggae vibe in this demo.
probably bc demos aren’t polished. they’re called demos for a reason. they’re not complete songs. when SM bought this song they liked the vibe and then their producers mixed it and made it specifically for the group that they intended it for (whether that was RV or exo it doesn’t matter). the point is, the demo is simply what the songwriter/producer thinks it should sound like and then when they sell it, that person can change it to fit the concept they have in mind. and ofc when the song is mixed it usually changes quite a bit.

What I like about EXO is the diversity of their discography. Imagine if just some few people worked all the time. We wouldn't have much surprising works out there.
