    • @ThePlantPsychologist
      @ThePlantPsychologist  4 года назад

      if you have bubbles, you can try to push them towards the edge with a brush, and if the paper is damp then you might be able to push it out. but more likely than not it will just become a wrinkle, which isn't as bad as a bubble.
      If you have bubbles as in gaps between the layers that you don't have enough glue, you can put the glue on top and it will soak through.
      Also, diluted white glue should work too.

    Why not use water instead of glue for the glass? Is regular water not strong enough to anchor the paper to the glass? Also very interesting video.

    • @ThePlantPsychologist
      @ThePlantPsychologist  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, the paper has a tendency to want to lift off from the glass when it dries, so if you used water, it would likely peel off in some parts while others are still wet, thus causing warping.

      I have had no trouble with foam brushes, although i know some people who claim that regular hair brushes are better. I've been using the same brushes for at least a year now with no visible sign of decay in quality. To clean them, just rinse them with water until the water runs clear and doesn't feel sticky, then squeeze them dry.

      The one I'm using I only have because I already had it from before, but if I were to buy a new one I most likely would not buy a slider one like this, because it can only cut 30cm long and anything larger you have to fold up to fit. I'd go for the guillotine type since you can do it in multiple cuts without having to fold your paper. Or a cutting mat, pen knife, and a large ruler works well also.

      Anything smooth and not absorbent works, but glass works best (for example, a wooden desk is ok but the mc will bead up and unstick early). Vertical surfaces like windows, mirrors, shower doors, etc all work too, just make sure you roll from top to bottom.

      It's quite a difficult problem actually, and to be completely honest many of my sheets aside from this one time have bled as well. I can recommend a few tips: use thicker mc and minimize the amount you apply between the tissues (and if you get air bubbles, you can just put mc on top of it and it will soak through). It also might help to put the lighter sheet first. But ultimately, some amount of bleeding is inevitable (especially for certain colors), so you might want to try triple tissue, wenzhou tissue, or paint to get duo paper
