I've been flowing this build. Kind wish he'd kept it stock with the ugly chrome bumpers one year only hahahaha.
      But its a fun build.

Chris, I'm guessing you forgot to bring the lavalier (clip on) mic with you to Kevin's. There's a huge difference in sound level and quality when you're behind the camera as opposed to in front of it. Not a huge deal, but I like to hear (and understand) everything you say. I'm learning a lot from your shared nuggets of wisdom and experience, and I don't want to miss anything.

Been watching Kevin longer than RUclips! Love his channel too! I miss watching all the car shows on Saturday mornings.
Since you guys are fairly close. Maybe we could have a semi-regular get together. Either do evry other show on the other's channel. Or both of you have cameras going and release it on both channels from different perspectives. Maybe have Kevin come to the Kiwi shop for some. You at his shop for others.
I'm just spitballing here. But I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who wants to see a more in-depth and regular collaboration with you two.
Just a thought 😊. Keep up the good work fellas

At least when you swap the 74 to the earlier front it already has the matching small rear window. My 71 was originally a parts car for a 72 that turned out to be beyond hope once I dug into it. Funny how that works 😂. The 71 was a $800 and pulled out of a field but it was mostly solid.

I knew it was a 74 when I saw the rear window reveal. In 75 the window came down into the sail panels. I bought a 74 new, always despised the ugly aluminum bumpers on it. Lol Bless your heart for helping him out! 👍Kevin, no cheese on Chris's sandwich! 😂

Hey Kiwi! How about sharing some of your experience on mounting engines? Specifically I have a 69 Camaro I’m dropping in a BB. I’m using the stock style frame mount but Prothane polyurethane motor mounts. They don’t even fit the frame mount. They are the tall narrow mount but they suck. I tried installing the engine but couldn’t get alignment to get bolts in. I lifted it back up and removed the motor mounts and tried to bolt them to frame mount and couldn’t even get them that way! That’s bad😢. Now I’m grinding on them and opening holes some to get them to mount before I reinstall them.

I like the later second gens too, but prefer the '70-'73 - and with Firebirds as well. GM nailed it with the early second gens!

So, he's converting it to the earlier 1970-1973 look , with the round taillights etc ? . Iv'e heard that people are doing that now. It's good that the '74 model still had the nice looking back window ( less work), personally I hate the later wrap around type on the Firebirds and Camaros.

I did it on my 66 but that was 12 years ago, way before I was making videos. It's a lot of work but look awesome. There is a company making oversize front and rear glass specifically to be flush mounted. That saves you a lot of time but they're about $1200 each plus shipping.....

It varies. A lot of the Mustang ll kit come with premade urethane mounts so your tied in to using them. Urethane mounts can be quite harsh as there is little give in them. If you're not making huge HP I'd be tempted to use rubber mounts. Hope this helps 😎👍

I could never figure out why people gravitate towards the split bumper cars. The turn signal placement and those little bumpers don’t flow well with the rest of the car. The signals underneath the solid bumper complete the cars.
