Today I used the ore made pouring paints and acrylic as described in my video
Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my usual work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, if in the USA Elmer’s glue all works well (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed, not all paint brands go well with this pouring medium, so just test out.
paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
I Certainly explore different brands and mediums, it’s all part of the learning process.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

This is very nice this is very nice what colors did you use
It is very beautiful. The black one was also beautiful, and it was the colors that were requested. Both are lovely.
Thank you for these ideas for beginners. I just love your videos
I love the vase and canvases
Thank you Fiona 😆😆
I didn’t think I can pour using acrylics on a glass. I will do that with my lampshade ! Thanks Gilly for your wonderful and creative ideas!
Have fun 🤩
You will just need to be careful with a lampshade because of the lightbulb causing heat. I think with pouring over glass sealing it with varnish or resin is why it lasts and stays on, you may need to make sure whatever you are sealing it with can withstand the heat and won’t become flammable
Glitter.... wowsers. I will try that on my lamps. Your ALWAYS amazing 💝
That looks awesome. It’s your chameleon vase it kept changing colour. Loved the dipped paintings and the end colour was my favourite. I love doing vases and find the pre mixed mont marte sticks really well. I often dip the under base of wine glasses into the overflow so gift the vase and the glasses together. That holder looks like a coffee pod holder. I bought a stainless paper towel holder from Bunnings and cut a piece of noodle which fits tightly over it. I use bubble wrap if my vases are bigger. It’s really stable and easy to move 😊
I made a four vase holder with PVC pipe and pool noodles, very easy to move off the canvases to finish drying.
Yes I have a towel holder to a my cup turner works great for pouring vase cups etc, yes iv found the mm pouring paints great for these pours 😆😆
I love the last color
The pink one is really pretty
Thank you so much 😊
Another amazing vase and beautiful golden dip 💖💖💖
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful work...🤩🤩
Nice experience....💛💛👍❤👍
Gorgeous
They look fantastic.
Thank you so much ☺️
Love your choice of colors much better. It's beautiful. Have a great weekend!
Thank you ☺️
I love it. LOVE your personality is the main reason I watch you. Your talent too if course. Had tradigey in my life. So good to hear u easy going attitude no stress. Keep it up. Just what Doc recommends😌
Awe thank you so much ☺️ so sorry to hear your going through a tragedy do hope you are ok, take care 🥰
Hi Gilly, I have an idea for you so you don’t have to get so much paint on your hands. Use 3 paint stir sticks and cut one of them in half and mail or glue onto each end of whole sticks to make a little box ring. When you need to move the item, just hold onto the sticks and gently slide vase to another area.
I hope this will help you. Also, I haven’t tried it but if you put Petroleum Jelly around the ring of the cups, I don’t think the resin will stick to the cup holding the jug. I don’t know if it’ll work but worth a try!
I love your videos and once I get moved, I want to start this to sell at Flea Markets and as gifts. The first pour I saw you do was using the vase spinner or turner. I was hooked! Thank you for being so dedicated to all your followers! Excellent! JilliBean
sounds great thank so much :)
Stunning well done
I’m tipping my iPad trying to move the paint for you!
The hot pink and gold pour was beautiful! 🥰👍 It looked darker when dry. 😔
I need to get some to work on .Realy love the results .🔔📹😀😘
😆😆
I was worried when it was dark, but you always find a way to salvage your work. You’re an inspiration!
Thank you so much!
all of them are gorgeous, but the dip ones are just beautiful
You are such an artist. Please keep these videos coming!! You are such an inspiration. Hello from the NW - USA
Thank u sharing so pretty going to try this I may put dish under so I can save the paint !
Great idea 😃😃
luv the colors!!
Stunning
I love painting the vases from the Dollar Store here. You’ve done a fabulous job with this one. Purple is my favorite color! Love this!!🎉💜. Well, now that is no longer purple, it still looks beautiful! Thanks for the share!
Thank you so much 😊
Gorgeous! I love it!👍😍
that is so cool.. love it
Such a beautiful piece of work

WOW turned out amazing... 😍😍😍
Wow that is beautiful
Absolutely beautiful...glad you changed the colors.
🤩🤩🤩🤩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Looking blooming lovely
I love it too. Wow.
Another beautiful vase❣️
It turned out absolutely beautiful! You were right about the color choice!
Absolutely gorgeous 🥰
The pink vase is beautiful ! When I was watching you and all that paint , I thought about dipping a canvas into it , and you did it . So now , not too much paint is wasted at the end . . . 🌟
Yes absolutely 😆😆
Wowoie !Great idea to add the dips!
Fantastic save!! Beautiful result
Gorgeous Gilly.❤️❤️❤️
Bellissimo!!
I loved how it turned out. You wouldn’t be wasting paint if you used freezer paper under the vase instead of puppy pads. The skins can be used for jewelry or other projects. I just saw you dip the round canvas - excellent use of leftover paints. Thanks for sharing. I always learn from each of your videos.
I love the ending color!
love your vase and canvas pours! 💖
Thank you so much!
beautiful!
Hi gilly loved them all the dipped canvases are beautiful and I’m sure your friend will love 💕 the vase 👏🏻🌈💚
Thank you so much 😊
I absolutely love the beautiful sunshine color!!! Great pour!!!!
Thank you ☺️
Sure your an Aquarian . your happy disposition making everything fun.
Love it
Wow wow wow beautiful canvases .
Thank you so much ☺️
Beautiful
You can use a lazy Susan with a canvas or tiles then you have your canvas pour over and the ability to turn the vase as you work.
so beautiful indeed. Thanks so much for your efforts in delivering a video every day much appreciated and most enjoyable . Light and Energy
You are so welcome 🙏 thanks for watching
Você sempre se superando 👏👏👏
Abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷🤗👏
I find I have lids for plastic storage containers where the container itself is broken. Great for collecting paint. End was gorgeous but I liked the dark colours as well.
A ballon kiss would look beautiful on the canvases
Gob stopping gorgeous
I kind of like the first pour, but the second is beautiful.💜🤎 The canvases are awesome.
Thank you so much ☺️
Love the hot pink and gold combination beautiful,I also liked the canvases you dipped in the darker run off just stunning 😍😍😍💖💖💖
Thank you 😊
I really enjoy watching you do these pours, they look so fantastic! Hoping to try my hand at this technique at the weekend with a couple of vases. 😎
Great 😊 enjoy 😉
Yay you did it👍
The canvases turned out awesome ❣️
Thank you so much ☺️
Iv'e got a couple of beautiful shaped vases that i have been given over the years but not used them because of the colour they are. I think i might make a start into painting by pouring on the vases in the colours of my new furniture that i am hoping to get. Thanks so much Gilly. You never cease to amaze me with what you are going to do next. Take care and stay well. Shirley. X
Great idea Shirley have fun and enjoy 😉 re creating
Gilly, that second pour looks beautiful!!! I love it 🥰 🥰🥰 the third pour Is Gorgeous🥰🥰🥰
Thank you 😊
Fantastic! Thank you. Deanne UK 🥰
Belíssimo, amei.
What a shame the purple and gold didn't work out. It was lovely. I'm going to have a play with this this weekend with some maconna jars. It's pretty cool and if i can get the hang of it I could make some nice Christmas gifts.
Yes absolutely, that’s what iv just poured over big coffee jars 🤗🤗
I actually liked both of them! To bad you didn't try a canvas as a dip in the paint...it might of turned out gorgeous for your friend ❣️
The first pour over the vase was looking really good, but I think the second pour turned out so much better. Very pretty vase. I'm going to have to give it a try and see how my pour would turn out. I've actually been really wanting to do a bubble wrap pour, every since I watched you do one and it turned out so good, I've been excited about trying it myself. Hopefully I'll be able to do one soon.🙂💜
you will do this easy and so much fun :)
Hi how are you doing I am watching your video right now you did a great job
Thanks for coming
You're welcome
They all look good! It looks like a lot of fun to do the vases! I was just thinking your hubby better watch out or he will be next wearing the paint!! 😂
Haha 😆 that would be messy but fun 🤩
But it’s worth it it looks beautiful.
I liked the first two, but love the third.
Thank you so much ☺️
I put a small block of wood under the canvas when I sit a vase on it. That or sit the vase into a pan or dish to collect the paint and save it. The dips came out great also. For some reason, now your videos show up in the morning where I am. It used to be later in the afternoon.
Great tips 😊😊 videos will be back to normal time mostly 😆😆
Beautiful work. Did you mount the. Paper holder on the. Spinning plate? Enjoy your work .
It's bummer about the purple color. However, the hot pink turned out beautiful. The canvases also turned out really pretty as well. Love the experimenting with different products and the pouring over vases and other things.
Thank you 😊 always expecting 😂
beautiful work, Gilly! how are the vases holding up without a sealer on the glass ist?
Do you have a tutorial for the vase with the gold leaf? It’s beautiful!!
Hi Gilly - beautiful as always!! 😍 You've mention in a past video that you sealed a vase by... brushing on a resin... or something along those lines!?! And you mentioned that you have a tutorial of how you do that. Could I trouble you to tell me which video that is? Grateful to learn new things!
Thank you for sharing your talent! 😊🙏
She put a link in a comment here in this section, just a bit below here a wee bit!
@@emilyflotilla931 thank you so much! 😊🙏
I subscribed to your channel
Many thanks 🙏
You're welcome
Could you use a bunt pan to set the vase on?
Hi Gilly I’ve just started, hope I’m not to old 82, going to opp shops today get some verses.
I live on the border of NSW AND VIC. do I have to be aware of we have a different climate. Suggestion put something hard under canvas so canvas doesn’t stretch.
Love everything you do.
Never to old, just relax enjoy and take it slow 🤩🤩
Good Day Gilly! Thee end photos, were incredible! The end result is a wood grain look! It's excellent, great job! What did you have the Vase to stand up? I know I can use a cup! Thank you so much Gilly!
Most Sincerely Crystal Elk.
Sending positive vibes your way.
Peace love dream's.🇨🇦
💞📽️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌅🌎💜🌍💙🌏🌄🕊️💕🌌😉
Thank you so much 😊 I have a kitchen towel holder to hold my vase whilst pouring 😆😆
I love the purple and gold together. How do you keep the paint from peeling once it has dried?
Thank you 😊 I seal with varnish
Watching this video. I ended up tipping my phone to make the paint poor over sides.. Like I could help. LoL
Haha 😂 that’s the normal 🤣
Did she like it when you gave it to her? I preferred it lighter, my son wants something in orange and purple, I've been putting it off.
Yes loved it thankfully 😅
For that heavier vase holder, you can put a book or something hard under the canvas to support its weight
Yes great idea 😆😆
Where did you get the stand inside your vase? It’s a great idea!
charity shop :)
So pretty. Too bad the purple and gold didn't work out, those were beautiful together.
I think that stand might be for storing coffee capsules maybe?
Could be 😁
What do you do if paint has gone inside the vase.
Hol como hago para que quede con brillo, gracias
This is beautiful! I would like to try this over 2 candle holders that I have. How would I make it heat proof? Do you know? Thank you so much! 💓 I really love this!!
Thank you 😊. To sure about heat proof 😬😬
Hi, Jayne and Gilly. I just ran across your chat. I love how your charity vases turned out. The heat proof question. When you want to make your glassware art permanent and waterproof you place it in a warm oven (225 degrees F ) for at least an hour. You then turn off you oven, open the door a ways to allow the glass to cool slowly before removing from oven. (Sorry I don't know the Celsius degrees you need..
I am from Northern California, USA ) Once your glassware has completely cooled, you can seal it with whatever spray/gloss/resin you have . Just remember to allow it plenty of time for any volatile fumes to completely evaporate or it could be flammable. Good luck with the project!! Take care, Brenda
@@brendaporter1172 thank you Brenda for the info!🙏💕
Tho this is beautiful but I prefer the darker one .
How do you clean the lip if paint dries inn it wrong .
Just run your finger around to get rid of excess, if it dries lumpy just a light sand when fully dry 😆😆
Gilly how do you stop the paint making drips as it is drying around lip of vase.
Just run your finger around 😁😁
Gilly, where did you get the cup holder from or did you make it?
I made it from polystyrene board, drill cup holes in 😉😉
What is your paint to flo/water ratio?
