Take and glue some felt to the bottom that goes on thr table top.

Countersink screw, fill eith woodglue and same sawdust.loved the rest and your a working young man!!

Meanwhile I'm paying 14.99 at the craft store to make my own . And that's just for the wood plates.
Great idea , but Maybe a little bit of sawdust over the glue may have hidden the screw heads better
