Because it's how you should cut them to get that many servings. The "pie slice" method results in far fewer and huge servings three or four times the size they should be.
@@realjettlag Cut smaller triangles? Lol When I buy cakes, I get a 6-8 serving cake but I usually get more around 11 or 12 servings out of it from cutting regular triangle slices rather than cutting overly large triangle slices. Bakeries, I think, tend to think people will cut cakes the same size as what they'd serve for a slice rather than realize that most people usually wouldn't cut slices nearly as large as theirs.
@@tucagwathiel3380 At some point you can't cut them evenly-sized and/or end up with super thin ends that dry quickly. I honestly don't see why someone's preference is invalid because others have another preference. Go ahead, cut triangles. Cut flat circles if you want. It's just cake.
20 years ago my aunt taught me that is how you cut a round cake because a cake is not a pie and triangles are too big for a serving. Thank you for sharing your life with us
i almost would bet that it's the same amount of cake - just presented in a different shape. after all - a triangle slice is very narrow at the tip and gets wider whereas this kind of slicing is fairly thick and uniform. So, probably the same amount of cake.
Yes! When we order big cakes for parties, people mostly get humungous slices because of the triangle cutting style, so a lot of it goes waste :(. Bug now i can cut without letting any cake go to waste 😁
best way to cut a round cake. the triangle is too much hassle and the first slice is often the worst. nowadays I just order a rectangular shaped cake to avoid arguments lol
Yes I just got a rectangle cake for my birthday! But if it was circle I would have had it cut this way. It just seems more logical. I don't want a thin asf floppy mess on my plate!

I think this is how cake makers think we cut round cakes when they say it's 12-15 servings.
I just love the fact every video she's like "hello loves" I feel so precious 💗
20 years ago my aunt taught me that is how you cut a round cake because a cake is not a pie and triangles are too big for a serving. Thank you for sharing your life with us
i almost would bet that it's the same amount of cake - just presented in a different shape. after all - a triangle slice is very narrow at the tip and gets wider whereas this kind of slicing is fairly thick and uniform. So, probably the same amount of cake.
Oh how I wish to have known to do that before :(
same
please don't do this.
Yes! When we order big cakes for parties, people mostly get humungous slices because of the triangle cutting style, so a lot of it goes waste :(. Bug now i can cut without letting any cake go to waste 😁
Exactly. Some people only want a tiny piece, so the rest of their (triangular) slice is wasted.
Right?!?! Genius cutting!
I like icing and cake, so i will get the outside or the top middle.
“Your cake looks dry 🙄”
“No, your face is dry 🙂”
That me me die 🥹😂
Copy done?
best way to cut a round cake. the triangle is too much hassle and the first slice is often the worst. nowadays I just order a rectangular shaped cake to avoid arguments lol
Yes I just got a rectangle cake for my birthday! But if it was circle I would have had it cut this way. It just seems more logical. I don't want a thin asf floppy mess on my plate!
I’m gonna try this at the next family birthday party and see how triggered everyone gets 😂
Actually it looks much nicer this way, almost like cake appetizers, I dont like big hunks of cake anyway😬
😂😂😂😂
Ooh I am going to try this next time I have cake!!!
Love your videos💖💖
Everyone else: “why did you cut the cake like that”
Me: “why did you put the perfect flower right on the plate they got smashed”
Edit: thank you for all the likes
That was my only problem 😭
Ikr
I was wondering why, too. Maybe the icing is firm from being refrigerated
Who cares how she cuts her cakes? She's a superb decorator
@@verak66 why are you commenting this on the one thread of ppl who actually don’t care how she cuts the cake but are just bothered that the beautiful decorations are getting smushed lol
THAT CAKE LOOKS SO GOOD😭
The cake looks fabulous, sadly my face is very dry 😭
❤it when you post the videos. You’re the nicest, most polite person when telling someone to 🤬. My Mom had that quality too, & I always wished I could do that. It makes even the most confident, screaming nut jobs to stop speaking immediately or try & backtrack because even they can see a how it makes everyone see how horrible they’re behaving. Keep it up, Mimo.
“no, your face is dry” 😂😂😭
That cake looks sooo good
"Your face is dry"
Me: "Well that hurts my fillings" 🤣
OMGG
Lol
Then ur sensitive bcs that was legit 3rd grade comeback
@@okay9953 its a joke
If it hurts your fillings, you should probably see a dentist bro 😂
I see this as a win-win situation. If the outside does indeed have fondant and you happen to hate fondant, you can avoid the outer piece
I LOVE EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO HAHHA
That cake looks so good 🤤
this is the video that made me follow you, I still love it so much ahahahah
I’ve always cut my cakes like this… and cutting it this way makes cutting a cake so much more easier and stress-free 🎂
That’s actually the best way to cut a cake, my eyes have been opened
Have you considered doing audiobooks? Your voice is smooth and calming to listen to.
"Your face is dry" had me dying laughing! 😂😂😂😂
“The cake looks dry”
Her: you have brought me to my breaking point-
I love this. I hate that it's not being cut the "correct" way, but this makes so much sense. If I ever make a giant cake like this, I'll cut it this way!
Who complains about cake? 🤤😂
I do so enjoy your sense of humor
“No you’re face is dry”
I was laughing so hard 🤣
When I would go to big Filipino parties growing up the cakes were always cut like this! So there is enough for all the guests and I really never complained, I just went back for more! Plus not everyone wants a massive piece and there’s less cake wasted.
LOL all complaints I’ve heard. Love your vids
If the complaint is so common maybe don't be smug and consider they might have some validity.
That filling looks delightful! ❤
"The cAke iS drY"
