I had a bobcat years ago, Smoker She was the coolest cat I ever had. I could walk in the hose and yell her name and she'd run from where ever she was to jump up into my arms.
Found a 2 months old wild kitten in the snow. He. Resisted all my attempts to save him, so i made a little waterproof house for him in my garden and fed him 4 times a day. Eventually he allowed me to stroke him and after some months he was close to moving into the house. Then some stupid but well meaning neighbours caught him in a trap and forced him into submission. He developed agorophobia but still responded to me when i passed his home. Two years passed and he developed the confidence to walk down the road to my house. He never left me until he died. He was my dearest darling and he loved me intensely.
There are literally a million wonderful stories about rescue cats undying love for their rescuer. I have several such stories of my own.

Wow! Thank you for sharing. So happy be made it back to you!😇🥰🥰🥰
@user-rg4hf8xb5rthank you. He died of acute kidney failure aged just 8 years . It broke out hearts, but we now have a 10 month old cat called Phoebe, a sweetie. Our back garden is full of cat graves with markers.😊
My husband passed in April. Axel, our orange feral kitten had claimed him as his person. For 3 weeks every night, Axyl would trill while he rolled his ball down the stairs, chase it down, bring it back to the top of the stairs over and over. He still does it, always at night about once or twice a month. I know that trill is for my husband.
Thank you for this. ❤
So very sorry about your husband's passing. Would you consider getting a companion for Axel to help deal with his loss and loneliness? Just a thought and it might make you feel better too. God bless.❤
I believe ur cat sees ur husband. Not the way u think, but cats can do that. ❤❤😊
So sorry for your loss.
@Sunbeam1968 thank you. i am thinking about it. he is quite independent so i wonder how he would respond.
@karinwhorton4926 i believe that also ❤
The hardest lesson about life isn't the end. It's living through the endings.
That was the best explanation of all the deaths, losses and heartbreak I've been thru since October 23, 2019 and the everyday struggle to give a f$#@ . And without my Chubby-Tubby Kitty, Gemma....Yeah.....Won't go there. She' s My Family since all My Human family is gone.
That’s so true ❤❤❤❤ such a beautiful story of love.
Due to my age, 92, I live with my daughter, and her youngest teenage children. The family dog, Millie, a black and white, medium sized retriever, has latched on to me, and will wait for me to return from my trips, outside the house, whether shopping, or having medical appointments. She gets all excited, jumping up, as if I have been away for days, instead of just hours. Precious!
This comment is just as good as the story
That's what precious animals do! ❤
May you be Blessed.
Well she knows you are Special!!!❤❤
Do you realise how lucky you are?
This precious story just wrecked me. I’ve had cats most of my life, 2 now, and I can’t imagine life without them. The love of cats is unconditional. As long as they’re not mistreated and trust you, their affection is unwavering. As I’ve watched this and am typing this, my male Phin is in my lap purring and making biscuits. His sister, Dreama, is snoozing in the top of their cat tree.
Although it wrecked me to watch this video, Axel’s faith and devotion really didn’t surprise me. I expected the ending I got. My heart is overflowing ❤️
Thank you for this.
😍😍❤️
😊 2:35 2:35 2:35 2:35 2:35
I save a cat . He is half lynx. He has the unique purr and when he chirps. Total love bug. He is very protective to me and the kids. He just turned 13 and still is like the day I brought him home. Maybe a little more poundage.
Any type of wild cat people should be taking these animals to the proper facility so they get treated for whatever's wrong with them and then released where they need to go. People should not just be deciding upon themselves to keep this animal and domesticate it as a house pet I think it's very cruel. These wild animals have certain instincts they were created to live a certain way in a certain environment. People wanting these wild animals as pets is just very selfish you're not thinking of the animal and the type of life it deserves to live how it was created to live they shouldn't be deprived like this.
@Kathryn.K who are you to judge?!? Life- All Life- is more nuanced than you might think. There are bonds you dont understand❤.
Without animals the world be a cruel dark place. This unconditional love and dedication is so heart-warming.
If only people were “as loyal as a dog (or cat)”……
and the honesty and lack of backstabbing
Wow! You posted something along the lines I had contemplated! I’ve always had cats with me but at 81 and in poor health, adopting again is unfair. (I believe one ought not adopt an animal unless you’re confident you will outlive the wee beastie.) Just like us humans, animals are sentient beings and flourish when loved and have so much love to give back to us. Again like us, they suffer and mourn when a human family member dies.
It was 2 years last November since my last cat died on my kitchen floor at 3:30 AM, in horrible pain that the vet believed was his nervous system massively short-circuiting, as the best analogy she thought may have been what happened.
I’m tearing up at revisiting that horror. Would I have preferred to have NOT adopted him, to spare me the agony of his sudden passing? Not on your life! And miss all the joy he brought into my life? No way!
We are born to die, and to suffer before we are set free!
@y@yogiperogyI’m 75 and like you reluctant to adopt another cat. I do still have a couple of cats but they are getting older. One thing us oldsters can do is adopt an older cat. The ones nobody else wants due to their age. Some of these older cats end up euthanized instead of being adopted. so any time you give them is a bonus. That’s just a thought. We all have to judge our own health and whether we dare adopt another cat.😊
Two years ago an old stray showed up here (dumped). I always leave out food for strays. He looked so beaten down and seemed to not want anything to do with humans. I couldn’t get near him. It took a few months but eventually he decided I wasn’t so bad. One day he walked up to me and gave me a nudge. He wanted me to pet him! After that we became really close . He nested constantly on my lap and would come to me when I did my patented “cat whistle tune”.
I ended up adopting 3 kittens. He instantly adopted them and nested and played with them. He was such an amazing old cat.
After about a year he passed away much like your cat did. It was very devastating but I am so glad I rescued him. I consider adopting him and giving him a loving home something I can point to as “I did do some good in this life.
He was obviously sick his last couple of days. The vet said there was nothing we could do. His last day I went out to shop. Even though he was very weak he climbed to the top of the cat tree next to the door to wait for me. I gave him a quick few strokes and went to set my bags down. A minute or 2 later I went back to him and he had passed away. He had literally held on waiting for me before he allowed himself to die.
This story still chokes me up to this day. He gave me so much more than I gave him.
Rest in peace Gandalf my dear friend.😿
I am very grateful and thankful that we have animals and I do believe that all animals are important to have their significance. I am especially thankful for all dogs and cats and domestic animals because they help us in our daily live.
This Canadian thank you for the beautiful story of loyalty and tested LOVE!! Animals are more faithful than people at times.
You are so kind❤
YYes they are.I love animals more than most humans 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ALL THE TIME. Thanks for being a good neighbor
I cried. I had a half wild cat from Jordan that I brought home with me after 2yrs in Middle East. It took 11 months of travel and 2 lots of quarantine to finally getting him home. I thought he would forget me but after watching him wandering around the new apartment smelling everything, I eventually sat down in my Lazy Boy rocker recliner and when he heard the sound of my chair he stopped moving, looked accusingly straight at me as if to say why did you leave me then ran to me, head butted my face and turned around and around before snuggling deep into my lap. We stayed like that for a long time. I had felt so guilty leaving him but it was the only way to get him into australia, so many hoops to get through. Charlie lived for another 13 1/2 yrs. He was a big boy too at 10 kgs, not fat just big. I miss him everyday he was such a character and so very intelligent. He loved to play fetch which he taught himself and me to play. He was always so very insistent that I keep throwing 😂 Hoping he’s in heaven waiting for me.
How beautiful
He is. ❤❤❤❤
Don't worry, he is there. 😊
.
He is
Cat no matter if they are demestic, little or big cat. Very intelligent and full of love. Axle waited for a year to see back his Master. And he show is love to his human. He recognised him. Some aay they don't have memory. Nay they have a GOOD ONE AND MANY OTHER SPECIAL SENSES!
This story broke me and healed me at the same time. Axel’s loyalty is unforgettable. 😭❤
❤
@PawsofHope-9m❤
Axel just wanted his dad to come home!🐾🐾😢
When I see people abandoning animals, who give unconditional love, I am overwhelmed with psychological trauma, and I rescue and lovingly feed and shelter them.
God bless you 🐾🙏❤️
That mouse was an IKEA issued toy if I remember correctly.
Cats teaches us patience.
Yes Cats can track by sound through walls outside, my Beautiful little Egyptian Mau does it repeatedly with great accuracy.
I’ve had cat my whole life and Love them dearly ❤
My orange Cat could say: "Hello ?! "
Very clearly . She said my son's name too .
❤
I felt every minute of that year in this video. Absolutely heartbreaking
Maybe build a wildlife highway crossing to save our precious wildlife? They report great success saving lives!
Yes, they save both animal and human lives. Many times when people in a car hit a deer, it causes their deaths.
Just because animals are of another species doesn’t mean that they don’t have feelings and emotions of love and affection for the people they love!!! Be proud to have a friend like that!!!
IT IS AN HONOR TO BOND WITH A DIFFERENT SPECIES AND KNOW THE GODLY CONNECTION 💫
Faith, love, and loyalty. How remarkable!
Most people have no idea how deep the emotions of cats truly is. It's stories like this one that we need more of until we as cat lovers can't get the nonbelievers understand what we have known forever. Thank you ever so much for this story!
My ex made my cat have heartache like this, always waiting, getting excited at hearing the elevator, only to be disappointed day after day! He made the cat love him too before he abandoned us both. I resented him more for what he did to our cat, then me.
That story reminded me of my time in the service. I left a dog friend l had for 18 yrs. I came got to see him before went to bed. The next morning he paged away, what a great friend. Never will forget him.
Absolutely the most beautiful story of the love between a man and his cat
So touching I love animals.
Animal knows who cares for them
They will ever forget your Scent your smell
Stays with them.
Animals are more loyal than any human they give unconditional love without judgement ❤❤
This story killed me word for word, that cat has love. Thank you.
My cat and dog lived in my suv w me for a month traveling up and down the coast.. They were troopers.. They loved it ❤
Unconditional love knows no boundary. I have 2 dogs that behave the same way one guards the front door the other the back door
My domestic cats show the same incredible patience waiting for someone or something. An admirable trait. I wish I was a fraction as patient. ❤
A beautiful reality. Animals are just amazing. Especially cats.🐅❤❤❤❤❤
I don't know if this is true...but what a story! It's beautiful and heart breaking. I have a domestic cat about 16, Sweet Pea...She's as sweet as they come...Thank you for sharing!
That beautiful face..Animals are connected to the people they love. It's not different with a wild animal should you ever be chosen by one. Such joy though I'm crying like I lost a best friend. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
What a beautiful story of love and loyalty! Thank you so much! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!❤
Theres a beautiful bond between a man and his cat
🎉❤
It is difficult to describe to those who haven’t had such a bond. I had one for over 20 years, until she had to leave me. How lucky I was, to have something that I still miss so much, even eight years later.
An absolutely heartwarming story. Loved every minute of it! THANK YOU! ❤
He can’t wrap his tail around his feet as they have a short tail, which is why they are called a ‘bobcat’!!
I was wondering how it would look. I hope the story is real, but the tail comment really made me doubt.
@j.k.mueller4470 Axel's tail looks longer than other bobcat photos I've seen, it wouldn't wrap round much but it could wrap round imo.
This is a story not real life.
Maybe he curled the tail around the front feet. 😊
This story is so amazing and wonderful it's so awesome that that baby sat and waited for you and gave you all that love and you returned it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ and now he knows your not leaving very loving and awesome glad you came back home to that precious cat that loves you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A bobcat cannot curl its tail around its body.
What a sweet story. Nice to have such a loving pet. Glad his dad finally got home.
❤
I’m not crying (yes I am). Animals rarely forget those whom they love. I used to volunteer at a big cat animal rescue. I had to stop for a year and was so happy when I got to go see the cats again. As always, I stopped at the store and bought chicken. I didn’t expect any of them to remember me. Much to my surprise when I walked into the compound, I was greeted with the same welcoming sound of wildcats singing to me. As I visited each of them I was shown the love of paws reaching up to my chest asking me to sit so each could sit on my outstretched legs. They remembered me and still loved me as I loved them. When the original owners passed on, their daughter took over the compound. She was not familiar with the relationship I had built with the cats, therefore I was not allowed to go in their cages. That broke my heart, but sadder still, it broke the hearts of the cats. I couldn’t put them through the sadness of not loving on each of them, sitting with them, talking to them. So I stopped going. I knew if they saw me they would start crying for the connection we once had. I felt it wasn’t fair to them. That was over 30 years ago and I have never been back. 😢
He was looking for his Dad to come back home God Bless and thank you for your service that bobcat will never stop waiting
Beautiful Axel x x x Made me cry, how beautiful this is x x x
My dad had a boxer while I lived with him in PA. Goofus was my buddy, she slept with me most nights. I went to live with my mom, was gone for about 3 and a half years. I got a call telling me that my dad was dying, I went there and as soon as I walked inside, she launched herself to my chest. She didn't leave my side. My dad and stepmother told me that after I left, Goofus would wait by the door everyday. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry for your loss, thank God for Buddy, I just lost my mom but I have 2 Siamese and a Corgi pup to comfort me
Meant Goofus
Bob cats have bobbed-like tails, very short.
This made me 😢. Hopefully they will be together always, Axel and his "daddy"😊
Wonderful story. Trust and unconditional love!
Once upon a time ! B.S. !
I had a mild stroke a few years ago, and my dog was devastated by the week I spent in the hospital. He didn't eat without a lot of coming. He walked around my bed on his hind legs. Yes they feel love.❤
A lot of coxing
Omgosh.. Your dog really loved you ❤❤💖👍💘💗💕
I had a black panther" cat who would sit across the room a burn holes through me staring at me.. Like he was sending me telecommunication signals.. He looked like he was in meditation...we never forget them.. Never ❤
I found him in a goodwill box covered with dresses and heard his little meow and raised him from a tiny baby even bottle fed him.. He lived to be 17.. Still had his beautiful coat and didn't look his age. Still got compliments about how gorgeous he was. I'll miss him and others till the day I die. ❤
Oh I love this story. Thank you so much for putting into words what I have known my whole life. I’m 83 now and starting to worry about my little dog when I go. But you know God sends his angels
I love this cat he's amazing wish I could have a Bob Kitty
You're a great brother. The cat is beautiful. Animals are so much loyal than most people. My dog slept under my bed when I was an exchange student.
WHY DIDN'T HE FACETIME HIS BOBCAT, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE CONTACTS THEIR FAMILIES.
Beautiful story , we need people like that in our lives , people who will love and support animals . I have two cats would never part with them for the world , would also help animals who needed it . ❤❤❤
Beautiful reunion! True love lasts forever! Cats are very loving and intelligent!
Axel is one special bobcat ❤. Beautiful bobcat story
❤
This is heartwarming. I had tears in my eyes.
The faithfulness of this beautiful cat is heartbreakingly beautiful! I'm crying like a baby!
We had a black kick ass beloved family cat named Shanghi" that was out tommin. When we were moving to another city and couldnt find him...till he just showed up at our new home 20 miles away.. Unreal. ❤❤ he was our one of a kind hero cat. He loved us back! ❤
What a best friend 200 nails that even a while animal can be a best friend. They also have feelings. They also are carried. They also want some attention, nice, soft patience. There were meant to be someone special in our lives. What a beautiful story that shows us that no matter how far we are, their loyal to us. I love animals. They mean the world to me because God created them for us to enjoy God bless us all. We need you know life something. So beautiful that can wait and have patience for us and be our best friends. What a laugh
Notta bobcat thatsa Lynx
Never seen a bobcat with a long tail before. There's a reason they're called 'BOB cats
Bobcats have a fairly long tail. You're probably thinking of a lynx. Their tail is shorter.
I cried thru this whole video knowing it all was too real in life animals can’t speak but truely show their love for their human. God bless u all 🙏🙏🙏
🎄❄⛪ Христос Рождається! Славімо Його!😇
З Новим роком! ☃🎊🎆
I love Bob Cats. There’s one that comes to my back yard. I’ve only seen him twice in years. I wish I could make friends with him.
Thanks and God's blessing on you all 🙏❤️🙏
Bobcats don't have long tails to wrap around them😊
♥️ I noticed that too. Tails that short don't wrap around their paws too well. Lol
I said that too
Yes, I think that is why they are called Bob-cats, bc their tail is "bobbed". But I wonder if there is a specie variation with a longer tail, some sort of African cat, or ocelot?
Amazing! Kindness and love conquers all. A "wild animal" can love a human. Cats, of all breeds, are amazing!
Beautiful..... Just Beautiful.... 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️😢🥰
Biometric imprinting we call it memory recognition, etc, pack bonding etc
Love this story ❤️ 💕 💗 💖 ♥️ 💓 ❤️ 💕 💗 💖 ♥️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is a vulnerable Kitty that never should go outside much less leaving a door leading to outdoors opened so that she does not get lost, for the kitty has a lot of energy for jumping and running. All she needs in life is a home like the one she found, of people caring enough for her to live a comfortable life up to her senior years. As the Bible says: " The righteous takes care of his domestic animals" (Proverbs 12:10). Thanks to people like these!
bless you for saving this lovely pet take care
This reminded me of how much I've missed my kitten now a cat and gone too soon, not one second of this story we relived every second again, tears in both eyes, tears on my heart tears throughout my body... Thank you for the memories
What a wonderful story! Love the cat and his markings. Perfect.
Very sweet little story. I think we all can relate at least once in our lifetime. Especially if we ve come back from deployment. But yes, the bond animals create is based on much more than a verbal speak. It may be feathered by time away, but once visual, verbal and scent connection is made. The bond will be reincarnated again. 💞🥰💞😺💞
I LOVED THIS STORY AND ALL THE COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE AND LOVE CATS. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There are still some good guys left❤❤❤❤ absolutely beautiful.
I cried through the whole video.🐱
Thank you guys for sharing this beautiful story! J was in tears to see the love of our pets for us human beings. The sad part! Is to see humans abandon them without any effort to protect them.
When fabric wears, it is ," frayed"
The picture looks like a girl.
PRECIOUS IS REAL LOVE 💞 THE VALUE IS NOT EXPLANIBLE ❤
Brings tears to my eyes
There is a great mystery of the bond between animal and human beings once that bond is established nothing can explain it or destroy it, it’s there for life ❤❤🤗🥰👍👏👏👏👍
Like the man/woman said...what would life be w/o animals.. Can't even immagine. ❤
Oh that is so amazing. Thank you too your brother for his kindness!❤
This is such a beautiful story. The most loyal kind of love a human could ever know. I'm so glad Axel got his person back. Must have been a year of pure hell for both of them.
That "bob" cat has a long tail! 😃
It's a bobcat , it can't wrap its tail around its paws. The tail is short.
That's a truly beautiful story of the love between a man and a half wild animal. So wonderful
FYI Bobcats have
naturally bobbed tails they cannot "curl around his feet."
Axle probably day dreamed about his master so long that he wanted to make sure his return was real and not just a dream... Very Happy ending 😂❤
Beautiful bobcat They're just like dogs remember who's raised them. God blessed you guys fir your kindness and God blessed Bobcat. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
I didnt know that bobcats had tails the long!!!
They don't
@mpshotattwice3253 The video infers the cat has a long tail.
@pelmen1294 And I'm Just agreeing with you .
A Bobcat's tail does not curl around their body! They are a " Bob" cat; their tail is bobbed!
😅❤
Some of the ones here in Florida, which I’ve seen do have a bit longer tail. And then some have a very short tail like you said Bob.
The pictures show different cats, some with normal bobcat tails, some with longer tails.
Also, if the man was gone a whole year, where was his car all that time? If at the airport, I doubt it would start.
I hope there is truth in this story, but sad for these oddities.
Maybe axel was part bobcat and part domestic cat.
What a wonderful story. That magnificent cat. Beautiful. And what a great brother you are!!!
Humans think animals are stupid when in fact we are!
So Beautiful made me cry so sweet and loving animals understand everything THANKYOU FOR YOUR SERVICE WELCOME HOME❤
So beautyful with Axels love for his rescuer, daddy❤
What a wonderful reunion story! The devotion
of this magnificent bobcat, to wait do patiently
for an entire year , before his beloved human
companion returned home, was quite
remarkable!!! This proved that the
unconditional love shared by the two was
unwavering and quite profound. Rather
than a beloved pet, Axel the bobcat was
a devoted family member to his human
companion. The reaction he displayed
when the brother entered the
apartment was heartwarming and very
touching. These wild felines are far
more intelligent, compassionate, complex , devoted and unconditionally loving of their
chisen humans, than we ever give them credit
for. The relationship that the two share, is a
deep connection that embodies the true
meaning of family!!! Wild hearts have much
to teach us, if we are observant and
approach things with an open mind.. This was
a most extraordinary example of that.
Thanks for sharing Axel’s incredible story
with all of us!
So glad you enjoyed it! ❤
thank you 💔❤🩹💖
L'amore di un animale, intenso duraturo.😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
