@edelkramer9236 It's Jaimaican Patois, a language that is one of the most closely related languages to English. It's kind of confusing, because it's not actually a patois. It is indeed a creole (a complete language formed from multiple other languages) rather than a simple patois (usually synonymous with pidgin, which is an incomplete makeshift language for speakers who can't communicate otherwise). It is related to but distinct from several other Caribbean languages that refer to themselves as "Creole", which may or may not be related to English. Caribbean languages are endlessly fascinating, as they developed in the nexus of so many different cultures that converged from the transatlantic slave trade.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for So behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:8-12 💖🌅

Best advice I ever got was from an older Jamaican man. He asked if I had a wife. I told him I’m seeing a few women right now but I don’t know which one I like the best. He said “choose the one who likes you the best, life will be easier that way.” Best advice I ever got
*EDIT* : I chose none of them.
shortly after i was locked in with a woman who was obsessed with me. I thought I had it good until she cheated. I then learned that someone can still love you and still stab you in the back. I learned that loyalty over love was more important. I once again set my standards even higher. Shortly after another one chose me and we’ve been together ever since. To those feeling bad for the women, don’t worry they move on fast. The one who cheated on me got engaged within 6 months, but not before trying to message me for a meetup a month or two prior to engagement, to which I declined.
