❤Hi master 👋 12:30 puzzle 1.Nf6 + , if Knight on e8 captures then there is Qg7# so Kh8 2.Bxg7+, it is a checkmate if Knight not captures the bishop so NxBg7 In the next move white wins the black queen on c7 👍 😊 nice puzzle 🥰 🤗Thank you master 🙏
After N×Bg7. White can play Qh4 instead of capturing the black queen and can do the checkmate with Knight on f6 and Queen on h4 and black cannot stop it
Thank you Igor!!! I have been waiting you to make a video where you play live or make puzzles and you did it! You are the absolutely best teacher in youtube
The puzzle is easy and covers the three patterns talked about. From the position we can clearly see that basically, all white pieces are targeting the black king, while black pieces are not in a great set-up to defend, so the threat is likely checkmate or at least threaten that. The first move that jumps into my mind is Qxg7, and it's almost a checkmate, it's just defended by the e8 knight. So the correct move should be Nf6+, which is a check and it forks the king and the e8 knight. because the g7 pawn is absolutely pinned, black either has to take with the knight or moves the king. If black plays Nxf6, the knight no longer defends the g7 pawn and this time Qxg7# is a checkmate. The only other legal move after Nf6+ is Kh8 to dodge the check, this time white will play Bxg7+ and the e8 knight must take, but it will no longer defend the c7 queen and Qxc7 will simply win the queen
puzzle: knight f6 check, if king moves to the corner, bishop g7, if knight takes bishop, you can take his queen. And other variation is knight f6 check, if knight takes knight, it's checkmate queen g7
Hey Igor. Can you make a video about how to punish my opponent's passive play? I always don't know what to do when I faced with passive openings such as the Phillidor and King's Indian. And then all of a sudden, they attack me brutally.
It seems to me that Botvinnik once mentioned this position at the end of the recording or a position with an identical motif in one of his books or articles.
Daily puzzle. The winning move is Nf6+, the idea is If Knight takes then Queen takes queen If king moves then bishop takes g7 + When Knight takes You WIN THE QUEEN ANYWAY. nice puzzle ❤
Excellent video Igor, advice for the next one please: how to deal with clock, 95% of the games I lose on time, in each of them I have a strong positional and often material advantage. I always attacks in this game. This is causing me a problem. I am at 1800, I feel that I can do more, but the clock is my enemy.
Grandmaster igor I would like to say that on the last move of the first puzzle after puzzle Rush you could have just played white queen to c 3 as it is mate
Theres only way , first give check with ur night and if night takes with night then queen to king checkmate, if night not takes , king moves take that knight with ur knight so it will take if it doesn't take u can have their queen , if it takes u can have checkmate
Okay, Igor, you solved about half of those puzzles in the speed minute faster than I could even get an understanding of what the position was. @#)$(*!!
I can see some patterns and recognize how to go about attacking, while sometimes, I see nothing, or have trouble trying to get through defenses, but then again, I'm only at 1350. 😅
on the second example with the knight being threatened by the a3 pawn why not advance blacks pawn on a5 for a sacrifice with white capture on b5 then black capture b5 with the rook on the next move as possible mate? if whites pawn moves to c3 mate is still inevitable.
I think White might even be able to defend after axb4 axb4 Kb1, but in any case yes, White can just ignore the Knight and play Kb1 instead, avoiding the fork tactic.
I found the puzzle section to be largely a WOT - waste of time . I could occasionally stop them to see what the result was but for many of them the screen changed to the next scene before the 3 or 4 frames that were given to stop went by. Oh well, it's the same thing with a lot of his shorts. You practically have to download them and put them on your editor to see the ending; he really needs an editor.

Thanks for this Igor ❤

Игорь, какой Вы молодец! Очень ценные видео для обучения!!
I've been streaming my games live for sometime now and your videos make me a better chess player.
Great video and loaded with solid tips
You know what Igor Smirnoff you're absolutely right!!!
Excellent explained. ..interesting lesson as always👏👌👌

1:48 the exact same thing just happened to me in a daily
min 7:42 if Qxe6, i think its better to play Bxd5 attacking the queen and both knights.
1Nf6+ (if Knight takes f6 Q×g7#),
Kh8
2 B×g7+, N×g7(which is forcing)
3 Q×c7( capturing black's undefended queen)
It seems to me that Botvinnik once mentioned this position at the end of the recording or a position with an identical motif in one of his books or articles.

Nf6+, the idea is

If king moves then bishop takes g7 +
When Knight takes
You WIN THE QUEEN ANYWAY.
nice puzzle ❤
If knight takes knight, you don't win the queen but you checkmate on g7
Why would queen take if there is mate in 1?
Thanks for the masterclass :)

Grandmaster igor I would like to say that on the last move of the first puzzle after puzzle Rush you could have just played white queen to c 3 as it is mate
that was great puzzle rush, GM Igor!
Nf6+, if Nxg7, Qg7#. If Kh8, Bxg7+, Nxg7 is forced allowing Qxc7 winning the Queen.

Nf6, black plays either Nf6 or Kh8, Qg7#
kf6+
if knight takes its mate in one
and if king moves bxg7+ black has to take back and white can take the queen but no mate i think
Thanks Igor
Nf6+;Kh8 2. Bxg7;Nxg7 3. Qxc7
1. Nf6+ Nxf6
2. Qxg7#
1. Nf6+ Kh8
2. Bxg7+ Nxg7
3. Qxc7
Okay, Igor, you solved about half of those puzzles in the speed minute faster than I could even get an understanding of what the position was. @#)$(*!!
Nf6+!
If Nxf6 Qxg7#
If Kh8 Bxg7+ Nxg7 is forced Qxc7

white doesnt HAVE to capture the knight though
@therealzonkgd you're right, the plot thickens. I'll have to look at this variation.
I think White might even be able to defend after axb4 axb4 Kb1, but in any case yes, White can just ignore the Knight and play Kb1 instead, avoiding the fork tactic.
Nf6+. If Knight takes your knight, you just win the queen and most likely win the game after. If King moves, Bxg7 and the pattern is easy from there
If Knight takes your Knight then you don't even need to win the Queen as Q x g7 is checkmate.
Igor’s voice at 50% speed is truly hilarious 😂
Igor drunk Smirnoff
(Nf6, kh8) , (bxg7, Nxg7), (Qxc7) that's it if both the players play perfectly
GM Igor, do you ever play against bots to improve your game? If so, which bot? Or, do you only play against humans? Thank you for your insights!

Ok my mistake. Black blunders by taking the rook.
There are many similarities between how chess players and magicians think.
