What transducer would you recommend for Southern California? Usually fish inshore/offshore San Diego area. More inshore, over offshore… considering the B175H at the moment.
Happy to say I upgraded to Simrad NSX 9”, with B175H. Can’t wait to see it do what it does… The HIgh Wide gives you a wider cone from top to bottom, whereas the High gives you better picture and definition (structure/fish Id separation) at shallower depths, is the way I understood it. Thanks for response. One last question, is there any other difference between the Cmap Discover X and Reveal X, other than the shaded relief the reveal X gives you? How is the discover X Cmap card? Thanks again.
@@ap4802 Well, you’ll get the shaded maps and better integration with the app. Really a personal preference decision versus better or worse, in our opinion.

A B175HW is what our Electronics Editor, Jim Hendricks uses aboard his personal boat and he fishes out of LA.
Of course you need a 1000w fishfinder to go with it.
