      As you know, putting out competitive content on YT is a grind…no doubt he knew he was going to lose subscribers…I’m sure he baked that into the calculation of what he was hoping to get from LIV. Those saying he’s been “bought” are just not realists…trying to make money on YT requires either pushing products, or trying to get people to constantly click on your product, which sometimes requiring coming up with titles that bring in eyeballs, whether or not they are actually accurate.

    For all you negative hypocrites commenting, please read on. If you are planning to unsubscribe to Rick's channel, you must also unlink yourself from the following PIF investments:
    never use Facebook;
    never use Uber;
    never put gas/ petrol in your car;
    never go to Disneyland;
    never fly on a Boeing plane;
    never play Nintendo;
    never watch Newcastle games;
    never use Citigroup or Bank of America;
    never watch the PGA Tour...
    As for other negative comments:
    You do realize, right, that you get all this for free on RUclips? You've loved Rick's content and you haven't had to pay for a single thing. It's free entertainment.
    And it's entertainment. Rick's channel is very good but maybe needed a reboot. This is a great reboot.
    It's also a business. Of course he's getting paid. RUclips is HARD WORK; he's not just playing golf for fun.
    "Ooh, he changed his mind." Rick (and especially Guy) were never really sold on LIV early on, but they didn't jump on the "blood money" bandwagon and rubbish it entirely. But Rick's not the only one to "change his mind." How about Rory McIlroy? And, let's not forget, the PGA Tour itself. You're allowed to take a different position on topics at any given moment. Anyone unbiased who has watched LIV tournaments knows how exciting they have been.
    Which of you would have turned down LIV's offer if you were Rick? That's right: No one.

    Not even considering how much money they are paying him because we don't know, this makes sense for both sides. LIV struggles for traditional viewership so they get Rick to release videos right before their events start which will showcase the course and drive interest in their event. No risk for LIV in this at all. Rick gets access to some great players and content concepts, making his job on RUclips easier. It sounds like Rick has figured out how to make LIV his booking agent for the talent that comes on the channel.
    Edit/Add: I went back and watched some of his podcasts when they discussed LIV. He never trashed any players or discussed where the money was coming from. His "anti-LIV" stance was basically that it wasn't anything different than Waste Management but that doesn't work if it is every event.

      (ruclips.net/video/e2bbb-6Clhs/видео.html)
      Let me be clear. Do I think the Saudi government is a democratic one? Hell no. As long as they stick to rules in the countries they want to do business in/with, they should do whatever investment they like. Golf is not critical infrastructure. It is just a sport for entertainment. So called developed countries should maybe clean their houses first, before lecturing others. That is including my own one, Germany.
      Actually I must congratulate the PGA for setting up a world class trash campaign on LIV - and even got players to be part of it. Let's face it. Right now Golf in the US is the biggest market in the world. But does anybody believes that will be the case in 10-20 year still. Look at the demographics. Global Golf will be way bigger in the future than just the US - it will be a local event. That's what LIV is going for. Long term global investment. A very smart one. Spending a couple of billions on setting up LIV is this a big thing? No, it is pocket money. And funnily a good portion was even paid by US golfers by needing that sweet crude oil from Saudi Arabia for their V8 trucks in the past;-) PGA was trying to kill it. They had some short term success slowing it down, but long term PGA is just a fish in the pond. Imaging some large investment from Indian or Chinese companies into LIV in the future. What do you think where the sponsoring money will go to long term? Made in America cotton golf trousers from Virginia but not feed those fat price money at the FedEx cup LOL

    Rick was against Liv in the beginning. I believe he purchased a full event ticket out of his own pocket so that he could honestly rate Liv as a golf event overall. He has a video on his channel telling the outcome. Rick said that he had a great time and the experience was eye opening. One of his negatives was he wasn’t sure what he thought about the team aspect. Second negative was the tournament being only 3 days long with no cutline. He didn’t seem to like the shotgun start style either.
    Overall though he never spoke bad about his weekend or the quality of the golf. I think he also gave a rating 1-10 on each area. Golf,Hospitality,Spectator involvement and so on. I believe his results were fair from a golfer who comes from the “old school” He also felt that Liv was here to stay and that the tour itself would grow.
    I personally can’t wait for Liv to start…Hands down I take Liv and the team concept right along with playing in shorts over any PGA non major event.

    Now he’s at 2.91, 10k sounds like a lot but that’s not even one percent. He’s probably set for the rest of his life. Good for him.

    I didn’t realise I was a subscriber. I’m a LIV Golf fan for life. Just got back from Florida: RangeGoats flew me 1st class and I played 18 w/ Matt Wolff & Peter Uihline at a fancy private club. Dechambeau Daley Roary & others were there filming content. So am still walking on Air. LIV just signed FOX deal so more eyeballs this year. PGA seems to be going in the wrong direction vs LIV more upbeat imo. Influencers obviously love the game but are business people so good for Rick.
