It's already quite efficient, unless you can make that robot produce no overspray, which bmw has just recently managed in a factory setting, I don't see this happening even vastly in to the future, we'd more likely have electronic walls you can control.

Seriously the painting industry is huge & if you can actually get a spray painter robot then you’ll forever change the way we operate
