My real struggle with Andrew are (ironically) the rescues.. the shovel is more useful for kiting than rescues, hunters obv wont hit you while underground and using it for the rescue buff makes him predictable because you only have 5 secs or it'll be wasted, basically the shovel is only useful for basament rescues, how can i use him properly?

use shovel for kite and then don't rescue with half life

I use the shovels for body blocking after I rescue! it helps a lot actually

@@briyeano Yup. As someone who just started using him, using one shovel can be worth it in the mid to end game. Also you can just stand in front of the chair and rescue, I've saw someone time the time he takes to rescue with the buff and it's like 0.4 seconds (is it milliseconds that you call that? Idk I'm stoopid .-.). So if the hunter is not attacking preventively then it's pretty much (I say "pretty much" cause I haven't played enough where that screwed me yet) safe to do the rescue and to do a body block. Even if the hunter attacks preventively they'll probably just break the shovel

I don't suggest you use all of your shovels in early game put when your struggling use it to get a better kitting place or to run away put you can use it for your temmates too :)
