I recognized HWY 9 from the thumbnail alone. My favorite part about living in the bay - the Santa Cruz mountains. From fast paced roads like Skyline Blvd to tight, technical roads like Page Mill; it has it all. I have hundreds of hours on these roads.

I was about to give props for taking it easy in the blind corners but then got to 5:48 when one could kind of guess what was about to happen when you slowed way down, the exit with the wipers on was a good match for the entry and the line 😂 I´ve been there, glad to see you kept that part in 👌

Throttle control. Go to an empty parking lot and practice doing donuts and figure 8s :) Edit: would recommend doing this when it’s raining, it’s a lot less wear on your tires
Definitely don't get overconfident. Don't think to yourself "these guys do it, so can i." If you feel like you don't know how the car will react, then don't do it. Practice in an open space, until you have all the unknowns figured out. Don't learn on the street.
@@icebrewyeah tbh I’m pretty anxious when the rear steps out, already spun out a few times. So I probably won’t learn on the street. I’ll book a track day to get it down one of these days, which would be the safest option. There’s not many empty parking lots big enough where I live either 😢

They likely have radar detectors and are driving in areas where cops don't frequently. Personally, I just go to the track.

@@alexwu8077 The BRZ has a different way the roll bar is set up, so it's less liable to slide than the GR86 is.
The tires I was running weren’t great, usually have a hard time getting the car sideways when I’m on some good tires
