The AP Poll dropped LSU down to #9 after Conference Championship week, and the NCAA Committee didn’t think LSU deserve to be a 1 or a 2 seed even though they had 2 losses all year. This team brought in 9 transfer players and people didn’t think they could put it all together, they defeated all odds.

Iowa beat South Carolina in this tournament: that was SC's first loss of the season. It's hard to imagine a team playing back-to-back great games, but that's what it would have taken for them to beat LSU. Some may argue that Caitlyn Clarke had an off-shooting night because she shot 9/21 from three-point range instead of 14/21! Steph Currey would have been proud of a night like that. Nah, let's give credit to Jasmin Carson & her teammates. They were just better than Iowa that night.

Iowa depended on one player, Clark for half of its offence all season ,its a team sport. Clark is a good shooter, but not as good when a defense can stay close and in front of her. Clark has a bad habit of pushing off with her left arm when a defense can accomplish this against her to clear shooting space and better break that habit before she goes to the WNBA because they are going to call that every time she does it.

Six times during the season LSU scored 100 or more points in a game. They have so many weapons that can hit from 3pt range or attack the rim that teams end up in foul trouble trying to defend as what happened in this game. LSU showed how to beat Iowa by attacking them within the perimeter and put they're stars in foul trouble early. Even if Caitlin scored 50 pts, that wasn't gonna match the team effort of LSU having so many players score in double digits. Props to Kim Mulkey for her masterful game plan to slow down Iowa.

Six times during the season LSU scored 100 or more points in a game. They have so many weapons that can hit from 3pt range or attack the rim that teams end up in foul trouble trying to defend as what happened in this game. LSU showed how to beat Iowa by attacking them within the perimeter and put they're stars in foul trouble early. Even if Caitlin scored 50 pts, that wasn't gonna match the team effort of LSU having so many players score in double digits. Props to Kim Mulkey for her masterful game plan to slow down Iowa.
