Our energy sector is crumbling down and we think about electric vehicles? These people just want to introduce anything to make people think they are working just so they get votes. Our country cannot sustain electric vehicles at the moment. Our power gridsa cannot handle it. Simple and period. This is all some political dust being thrown into the eyes of the ordinary Ghanaian who doesn't know much about electric vehicles
Also these electric vehicles have range. It means there has to be calculations made so as to know where charging stations will be placed. Also it takes time for these vehicles to charge and if there are not fast chargers, you have to wait for a very long time for them to get charged. Imagine waiting for 1hr to get that bus changed when you are in a hurry to get to your destination. Imagine wherever the charging stations are don't have light. You'll wait in the bus till the light comes cos the bus will be low on battery.
This is the man who claims to have bold vision. Putting the cart before the horse. This is no different from the implementation of the free SHS and the challenges we are facing now
