      Vera, how goes the hotfix? Do you like it for your purposes? Or have you tried other gluing methods since you commented?

    "Dingleberries of glue," bah ha ha ha haaaa!
    I use the GemTac, it works well.

      Thanks for the comment! Have you had your dresses for several years so you can tell how long the stones stay on?

      @@sewlikeapro1 They stayed on for at least three years of dancing, but only probably six launderings. (I know that sounds gross, but if I just had it on for a few minutes and didn't sweat, I just aired it out.)

    I have seen someone use a hit plate for the hit fix rhinestones I thought it was soooo clever!

      @sewlikeapro1  3 года назад

      Well, if one is going to use the slow hot fix method, I think using a hot plate to heat many rhinestones at once is great idea! It would certainly speed the process up a good bit.

    What would be a good replacement for amazing goop uk version?

    • @sewlikeapro1

      My Sew Like A Pro™ members in the UK mention they can buy an unscented version of E-6000 which is also an epoxy glue I use a lot.

    Ok, I’ll lay out my secret of putting hot glue rhinestones. I sit by a stove (the fire one) and I take a stone with some tweezers - put is by the fire (3 seconds for size 16, 5 for size 20) and then apply to the clothes

      That is cozy in the winter! But about when you rhinestoning in the summer?

    • @alexadevilish7339
      @alexadevilish7339 2 года назад +1

      @@sewlikeapro1 I mean, it’s not that how by the stove even during the summer. The flame doesn’t have to be set to high.

      @@alexadevilish7339 Ohhh, I was thinking literally by the wood stove or fireplace! 😂
