Its weird how both bandai and the production of the anime decided that removing the gn condesers on the legs would make this suit somewhat more appealing. The idea behind this suit and kit is truly puzzling.
In the anime, 00 Diver uses the GN Sword 2 rifle mode without turning the blade at a 90° angle because the actual HG can't transform it without taking the blade off
Mistress Neviah but why a P-Bandai I would have liked a regular HG so I could make it's moduler equipment. Because on some model sites people were buying the phyco Gundam and the hazel as well as the hazel attachments.
I think one of the reasons they left out the beams is because they knew the cheddar cheese master (man that just cracks me up every time) was one of the weaker entries so they put them in there so people might think to get the kit just to have the second main mobile suit, put it in a decent pose with the changeling rifle and never touch it again but give the beams to this guy.
5:42 luckily for me I only collect high grade gunpla so I got thousands of beam saber blade effect parts so this doesn't bother me in the least bit. If I want this kit during stop motions I can just grab a beam saber blade effect part from my effect parts cardboard box from my closet shelf and peg it in to the beam saber handle and I'm all set. So this doesn't bug me in the least bit. Especially if you only collect high grade gunpla.
For someone like me who already have built the 00 in less than two weeks before getting the 00 Diver I can tell that the cons shown by Mecha Gaikotsu were already the ones of the original kit ( the stickers on the forehead were already not that good and there was not beam effect at all ). So if you close your eyes on those points you can admit that this is a pretty good kit for its price :)
When putting the sword/rifle in his hads you need to pull the blue guard away from the handle. Then just push the handle all the way down. They pop into place. You'll feel it.
Austin King And you know what’s even more disappointing about that kit? It still uses a beam toothpick when other kits at the time already used handles with clear colored blades.

The original 00 gundam also not include the Beams. The beams are 1pcs with the 0-Raiser kits. Maybe we'll also get the beams from the 00 Diver's Add-on
I got mine from Barnes and noble and it is very nice. The thing is that the piece on the back of the knees isn't loose. I think it was yours that was loose, not mine. But good review man.
Mecha,the instructions tell you to put the sword with the rifle handle AND a little bit of the trigger,where you flip up the blue pieces a little,and stick the remaining trigger in the hand,and close it up with the blue piece

If this is starter set, i did rate the oo Diver 9/10, but this one wasnt and in my opinion, 7/10. Dont get me wrong, I love the design of OO Diver but for this kit, way many pairs of confusing hands and no beam saber effects with only 2 weapons (just one if the beam sabers didnt count). And if I wasn't wrong, a starter set RX78-2 have all the Gundam's weapons and a Paneline Marker
I like the look of the 00 diver. I'm going to get mine when the ace unit comes out. I'm also planning on using actual paint instead of gundam markers to detail it.
Just normal Sharpies. Blue or green, depending on the intended condenser's colour. Green in this case. I use the paint markers when I don't want light reflecting off the silver in the back.
For my opinion, I will just wait for the second upgrade version release. Than I consider to buy this one, cause the first release character always have only few parts, and the upgrade version will always be better and more weapon. (Bandai marketing tactics)
Gonna get this. If you have the previous HG00 00 Gundam kits (from the 00 Raiser + GN Sword III and the Seven Sword/G) yeah you can put those on the 00 Diver just for funzies.
Very nice Gundam! I am rather annoyed that they are choosing not to include beam blades for the saber handles AGAIN....(HG Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode, I'm looking at you)....but still, a rather solid kit!
Worst part about this kit is that the beam saber handles not only come empty, but they're incompatible with contemporary beams! I bought the Ninpulse Beams kit specifically for my 00 and 00 Diver and their damn handles are too big!! I don't even know what kits I *can* buy to remedy this...

I am quite confused with Bandai's choice on this matter. If the beams were the normal ones you could get with most HGs I wouldn't complain as much but as far as I can tell they aren't. I tried to use some of the beams I have and the only ones that would work were 1/100 scale because the hole is scaled more to that size. I looked at one of the only videos that shows just the beam and not the handle for the Cheddar Cheese Master . . . err, I mean the Beam Master's sabers and as far as I can tell they are the smaller, normal for an HG size. I don't know if some of the blades for the 00 series are the right size for it since I don't have any but if they are it still really sucks. If that was the case it would mean that you would have to have specifically one of those older kits or use one of the 1/100 scale as an oversized beam sword. Also the 00 series kits didn't all have beam saber effects and they were different types so if they are the correct size you would have to get a specific kit with those specific blades and you might not be able to. The only good news in this matter is that it is not impossibly hard to find those older 00 kits if the beams are the correct size. As for one of the other comments, whether he uses them often or not is irrelevant to me because I always like to have extra options. Plus, I love the scene in the first battle with the Ogre GN-X where he pulls out the beam sword at the end and I can't recreate that pose without a beam saber!
I kinda hate how everuhings crammed up on the top. It's too spiky and blocks form the little parts that make this gunpla great. (I think that's just from the side... backpack? Oh, and I think its a little too spiky... especially the head.
I wonder if the ace diver unit will be a good backpack addition since bandai has been pretty focused on backpacks since G Reco and its been a mixed bag, screw that amazing zaku booster and its loose connection
From the looks of the arm it looked like you had to attach the the tab from the swords on the back of the arm (I see the holes there) instead of the indents of the forearms that you showed at the end of the video 🤔

it gets loose if you turn the blade when using rifle mode, so it's kinda an improvement I guess

The original 00 Gundam hg doesn't come with the beam saber effect parts, so it's pretty believable that this kit doesn't.

I’m building my oo diver right now I’m still working on the head and the swords I still need to work on the waist arms and legs.
It looks nicer without the stickers on the clear parts on the head,the red sticker is good tho but the black one's on the side is nyeeeeeehhh.

I usually paint under the clear part with silver gundam marker, then use a sharpie on the underside of the clear part for effect.
I tried that but instead of a sharpie, I used a meta green gundam marker on the underside of the clean part. What sharpie marker do you use?

To hold the GN sword IIs in rifle mode, you need to jam the trigger into the smallee hands. That works for me.
