जमीयत-उलेमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना अरशद मदनी ने बड़ा बयान दिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस मुल्क को आजाद करने के लिए नहीं बनी थी. मुल्क को आजाद कराने की पहली आवाज 1803 में उलेमाओं ने उठाई थीं. कांग्रेस का मकसद गुलामी की जंजीरें तोड़ना नहीं था. मुस्लिम उलेमाओं ने कांग्रेस को मुल्क की आजादी की तरफ मोड़ दिया. लेकिन हमारी तारीख को मिटा दिया गया. जमीयत के सम्मेलन में मौलाना अरशद मदनी ने कहा, बिना मुसलमानों की बर्बादी के असम के सीएम का खाना हजम नहीं होता है. हिंदुस्तान में मजहब के नाम पर नहीं बटेंगे लोग.
