I think a great way to make the new tournament different from the original one, would be to include the various god of destruction's on the teams, or maybe even just increasing ring size to something like a whole planet, and have something like the dragon balls scattered around the planet, goal is either collect all the balls or destroy all the other teams. Tbh so many things they could do, but if they do do it again, they'll definitely need to bring more to the table. I think they need some dire stakes, they cant redo destroyed universes, so perhaps they will allow killing in this one. Maybe further repercussion could include the Gods of destruction themselves perhaps being replaced, or moved around according to their and the mortals performance - could be a great way for freiza to obtain a god role, or even eliminate some gods.

No one wants another tournament. We can't keep hanging onto recycled content. Take some risk.
