@coreymorris4630 what's gonna happen is players are gonna start disagreeing with it and go on strike like they have in the past, so give it time by next season it is going to cost a lot of games. The biggest problem here is the result of games, because the refs can't call any games the right way, because of the indecision on these calls.
So what you are saying is that they just gave the refs a new way to throw games by extending the offensive drives since they described 90% of tackles. That's literally how you bring the qb down 99%of the time
That's exactly what I was thinking. Imagine chasing someone at full speed and needing to tackle them. The refs know if he makes the tackle, they can either throw the flag for hip tackle, or not throw the flag. Depending on who the refs need to win the game. I have no idea how to tackle unless you trip them or push them. But 99% of guys grab the waist
Refs cant even get a clear PI call right and your expecting them to determine this in real time. While I think its stupid no matter what at the very least they need to make it replayable like they do for targeting.
Coming from a punter that smack some dude running by him??? 😂 Did he have to hip drop tackle him? I wonder why they banned horse collar tackles? And tell me that's not basically the same injury
They’re getting paid millions let them play ball lol , even back in the day they wasn’t getting paid as much but they didn’t have these crazy rules lol I understand it’s a bad tackle tho idk
For real, if youre running almost same speed behind a dude and then try to tackle him from behind, how the hell can you not "hip drop" at some point?. Unless the ball carrier is running much slower than the defensive player, how can you tackle "through" them?
Lmao it's called wrap up and fall to the side😂 And not one of these clips or tackles they display aren't from straight behind its to the side But regardless like I said Wrap and roll to the side of the runners legs, not DROP all your weight while FALLING onto runners ankles
Defeats the whole purpose.. they want more offensive. Jamming would play into the defense hand. Thats Not good according to the nfl. Lets limit the defense as much as possible. Their not trying to be fair. This is blatant from the nfl trying to make the league pure offensive. “More exciting” they don’t give a damn about nobody health. Ratings thats itS Legs are going to get shredded now. Gronk all over again.
I would like to see the helmet/shoulder to knee tackles from Dbs it’s ridiculous easy get a player out the game move. “Detroit lions im talking about you”
This is just going to give the referees another way to rig playoff games and the Super Bowl in the Chiefs' favor. Throw a flag on a "hip drop" tackle when they fail to convert on 4th and 8 and give them a free first down to keep the game-winning drive alive. I can see it now. That's what will give KC their 3-peat this year.
South park seems to be right on this one. At some point within 10 years we'll be watching a challenge replay of whether or not the QB was two hand touched.
Now that I see what a hip drop tackle is. How the hell is this sport going to survive? The League is literally shooting itself in the foot here.
People said this for years league gonna do fine because people will still watch regardless

I don't think you know what it is still😂😂😂
PLEASE define in your own words what a hip drop tackle is?
Might as well play two hand touch if they’re so concerned for the health.

National Flag Football League, here we come...
Just another way for the refs to “rig” the game.

I'm calling all Broncos fans to answer this
How can we tackle derrick henry??
Broncos vs Ravens week 9
I’m done with sports.
It’s Rigged to heaven now.

the MMA 12 to 6 o'oclock elbow rule. the rulemakers as usual don't practice the sport they regulate.😂
That has just been lifted thankfully

How the hell u supposed to tackle then??? Its the NFL now but it might as well be the NFFL!! National Flag Football League. SMH. Come on now.
Nfl just secretly gave refs power to rig games even more now its going to be ridiculous.
It's easy if you land with your hip on a guys ankle it's illegal
South Park sarcastaball in real life😂😂
😂😂

To offset this, they should let the defender jam the receiver up to 10 yards.

Time to suplex mid game
The Packers were one of just three teams that voted against the ban.
Dont see these tackles in rugby.....still get huge hits and tackling....this looks like something that is coached
I can’t with the NFL so u basically can’t tackle nowadays
I would like to see the helmet/shoulder to knee tackles from Dbs it’s ridiculous easy get a player out the game move. “Detroit lions im talking about you”

More control over the game for gambling reason. This rule will decide/change the outcome of so many games. This league is a joke!
Bruh they been tackling the same way since the history of the game. Why change the game now???
You're getting paid...millions of dolars to play two hand touch now...what a cake walk.
