- Multiple World War 2 vehicles travel in convoys and by themselves in the area of Gold Beach, including a parade that enters the British Normandy Memorial. Gold Beach was at the center of British forces landing in Normandy, 80 years ago on June 6th, 1944. Nearby Juno Beach was landed by the Canadians.
List of vehicle types and timestamps to be added soon.
This anniversary of D-Day marks 80 years since allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to liberate France and the rest of Europe from the Nazis in World War II. So many Jeeps and almost no armored cars, and no tanks. Maybe they went to Gold Beach?
British trucks in the convoy are the rarest there

Dupā Napoleon Frantá s-a terminat..
German army arabs from WW2.
A Bren gun carrier or two would have been interesting but most of them must be pretty delicate after 80-85 years and roaring down the road like that might be too much. I'm a senior citizen veteran and I can't roar like I used to, either.
I was hoping to see one of those! But you're quite right, not all of them can move like this. To be fair it's amazing just how many vehicles of that age were roaring about! Did see a fair bit of tracked and half track.
Great to see so many USA vehicles but what happened to the British ones?!!
So many Jeeps and not many British vehicles. Maybe Jeeps are cheaper and were more plentiful during the war?
@@rb67mustang Agree but we mass produced vehicles for all our landings and beyond..and then scrapped them!
900,000 vehicles that went to the UK during the war were produced in Canada ... mostly to US designs... not all .but you'd think that they have 'Proudly Made In USA" stickers, too. Whenever the Brits mention "Lorries from America" they are often referring to Canadian made (and donated) units. If the steering was on the right side of the cab, it was made in Canada to the British spec. The Americans only made left side driving vehicles and did not re-tool for the British roads.
I was in the british jeep Florence May abouf 19 minutes in

still plenty of willy jeeps around amazing....pity no Brit armour etc...mostly yanks stuff ..great though to see numbers high in respect / triute
Thank Each of The Soldiers Served to keep America 🇺🇸 Free ,GOD Bless
