I have the 16GB configuration. Is there any way to add RAM to this?

No, I am very disappointed with Dell for introducing soldered-on RAM modules. You have to think very carefully what machine you buy now. Todays good deal will become a bad invest quickly, if your requirements change. I bought a 16 GB 5440 not a long time ago as a replacement for my venerable 7490. The 5440 is very fast and responsive. Now I need more RAM for a project with several VMs and I can not expand it. At the end my old 7490 (32GB RAM) is faster, as it does not need to swap.
