  • Let's look at the history of the #arizonadiamondbacks #baseball team! I'll walk you through who the #Diamondbacks are, from their origins as one of the two youngest teams in the league, their immediate success of becoming World Series champs in 2001 in only their 4th season of existence, and culminating in their improbable run to the World Series in 2023! I'll go through their postseason and World Series history, and the best players that have donned the various uniforms associated with the #Dbacks franchise. This is the 8th installment in a series dedicated to providing a history of each #MLB team, so come back often to look for your favorite team's video!

If the D-Backs win this year, do you think they'll do the pool dive in the see-thru pants?

I guess it won't make much difference since they're already see- through anyway...

    Brandon Webb over Schilling? NOT!

For all of my team history videos, I rank the best franchise players and pitchers by only their time with that team. Otherwise I would have to say something like "Randy Johnson was the best pitcher in Yankees history"...when he clearly was not.
So looking at only their time with the DBacks, here's how they look:
      Webb: 87-62 (.584%), 3.27 ERA, 1065 Ks, 142 ERA+, 22.7 WAA, 1 CYA, 2nd place CYA x2
      Schilling: 58-28 (.593%), 3.30 ERA, 875 Ks, 148 ERA+, 19.7 WAA, 2nd place CYA (x2)
Incredibly close numbers across the board, but Webb did it for longer with Arizona and won a Cy Young, so I gave him the nod over Schilling. I think people often forget just how good Webb was for his short career.
By the way...do you know what Spartacus said when the lion ate his wife?
      He was Glad-he-ate-her!
