    I had a ‘70 GS Stage1. Lunati 235/245 @ .050, 13.1 compression. It was an absolute beast.
It ate LS6 Chevelles for breakfast.

Always liked the Buick GS. I had a GS 350 in the mid 70's. Very nice car.

I ordered one of these back in 1970 but in a convertible. Brown w/white top and white interior (bench seat no less) Stage 1 and a 4-speed. At that age I wasn't interested in AC, Power Windows or Power Door Locks but I did order Power Steering and Power Front Disc Brakes. Heck I even ordered a rear window defogger which was a blower fan mounted in the mesh (for lack of a better term) of the well for the convertible top. Talk about torque. I could start off in 3rd gear with no problem. An absolutely amazing car.
Thanks for posting this video and bringing back so many memories.

      @@jimmygrant424 Believe me, I know.
When I ordered the car, I ordered it at night with a $200.00 deposit. The next day, the general sales manager called and said he would not order it with only a $200.00 deposit. He wanted 50% down. (I think the car was a $4000.00 car or thereabouts) I asked him why such a steep down payment. He said that if I backed out of the deal, he would NEVER be able to sell a 4-speed Buick!
A few years back, I went to an auction in Atlantic City, NJ. I ran into a guy who was trying to sell a '70 Stage 1 hardtop. I went through the story about my convertible. I thought the guy was going to have a coronary. He said that car was worth $500,000.00. Obviously he was smoking something but regardless, the car was super rare and super desirable. If I only knew then what I know now.
I'm embarrassed to say I sold that beauty a year and a half later to buy a VW. Hey, I was moving out of my parent's home to an apartment in an area where you didn't want a convertible muscle car parked in the lot. I've been kicking myself ever since.

Known in the day as the Hemi and LS6 Killer due to it's underated 365 HP and 510 LB/FT of Torque! ;)

Wanna know why they NEVER tell you the price of the highly desirable muscle cars on these videos? Cause if you gotta ask how much, you cant afford it! Maybe I am nuts, but these do not fetch what the 70 Chevelles with the 427s and 454s do even though there a are waaaaay more out there than these Stage 1s. These had more torque, more than any muscle car that year, and were built better than them AND had creature comforts to boot. So maybe I am crazy but if I had serious money to collect, I would gobble up all the Stage 1s I could, cause the collectors will wake up one day to these. Being so much rarer than the Chevelles with more torque they will one day at least match what the much more available Chevelles do. I would have to think. I would only buy these up that are available at a much more reasonable amount compared to the same condition Chevelles. They maybe consistently fetch half, although they are starting to go through the roof. I would only gobble these up and certain Mercurys too say 1968 to 1970. 429s and 28s. Why buy the cars that are at their peak value when you can get the rarer muscle for half that will one day match those other well knowns value, and quite possibly race past their values due to the much rarer and fewer built factor. Further, everyone knows those Chevelles. Think it is much cooler having a car that many have to ask, what in the hell is that?????!!!!!!

You are right, these cars came fully equipped! The Stage 1 engine is 150 pounds lighter than a hemi or 454
