🤣 I always wondered if people check that out. It's mostly Chris...... she's the music connoisseur. Loves to put on the jams and drive. Thanks for watching!
Next time you are near Zion, I would recommend Gooseberry Mesa for camping. It is between Hurricane and Colorado City above Zion. It has two pit toilets very clean and the Short Creek Chevron has a dump and free water. It about 50 boondocking sites that are about 1,500 ft. above Virgin Utah and Zion. If you have ever watched the Red Bull Rampage Mountain Bike competition, the top where they drop down is Gooseberry Mesa and Smithsonian Butte. Surrounded by cliffs that overlook Hurricane and Zion. Favorite place in Utah.
Sweet, we will book mark it for next time! We looked at Smithsonian Butte, but read that the access from Zion was very rough and it best to come from the south, Apple Valley? We will check out this area next time, thanks for the tip!
Irene Iron Fitness the road from Zion is fun but only for 4wd with high clearance. Road from Apple Valley is easy and 4. wd is not necessary, I have seen Winnebago Views up here. Last summer during rampage there were 4 Earthroamers up here that came independently.
Another great video and tour of scenerie. You guys Rock! Im jealoous😊. Thanks again for sharing with us viewer's. Im trying to convince my wife to get one of those vans, seriously!!😁 Stay safe and travel on....
Good for me to see , I am picking up my new rig next week , which begins my transition into this lifestyle. I am a competitive cyclist (road race addict )and really thrive on keeping a high fitness level , I am a bit anxious but i'm sure it will unfold perfectly . Thanks for sharing your content ~peace~
Yeah, that's where Jeep's turn around and go back up, and where RZR's just keep on going! Utah is awesome for off road trails, I want to go there so bad in my RZR and do some exploring.
Irene Iron Fitness I would rent a 2 or 4 seat RZR. I owned a 2016 jeep JKU sold it a few years ago for the camper van. No comparison with my 4 seat RZR, The suspension on the RZR is so good, no comparison with a jeep. The ride quality and comfort is head and shoulders over a jeep. And it will go places that a jeep goes and more, and go there much faster and in more comfort.
We finally got around to switching out our old showerhead to the one you recommended eons ago. Love it!! Thanks so much for your helpful tips!! Enjoy your travels 😎😊
Well THANKS guys! It was so nice to chat and get to know you a little bit. Enjoy that new Beyond, travel safe, and I'm sure we'll run it o you again. Small world! 😀
Luv Moab!!! I workout every day and always wondered how one would maintain that workout schedule while doing Van Life. You guys have shown me how it's possible. THANK YOU!!! What workout equipment do you have onboard? Have you ever shown that?
FYI, Sounds like you have a bad tire. A tire with uneven ware will cause that humming sound. But too late, the van is sold and we’re all waiting to see your new trailer.
Yeah those goodyear dura tracs get a bit loud at higher speeds! We rotated them pretty often to help and noticed right after the rotations they got quieter. Our new trailer should be built in Aug/sept....... so it's gonna feel like forever! Should have the truck tent build done in a couple weeks though so we can get back on the road!! Thanks for binging the vids!!😁
Another great installment. You've inspired me to get rid of my one (pretty useless) flexible solar panel and get three new ones on the roof. The lithium upgrade will need to wait, I have four (just added two last year) Lifeline batteries and want to get some use out of them before changing out. So when we head to Utah this fall we can enjoy some of the BLM sites. Looking forward to your future videos.
Hello! That's awesome, you'll love having 3 times the solar. That will make a huge difference and I totally understand wanting to get some use outta the Lifelines. Do you have an MPPT controller or PWM? That will also make a big difference if you upgrade. (Up to 30% they say.) Our Mppt actually just had a short( possibly my fault and will do a vid on it) and we have been without solar for a week! Very tough.......
@@IreneIronTravels Still have PWM and will switch that out as well. We don't head out to Utah until mid September so now is the time for these upgrades. Sorry to hear about the short in your MPPT will be interested in your video.
I noticed that too while editing!😡 That was my camera phone I usually use for B roll driving scenes. I'll make sure to use the Sony with mic if we do any any talking at highway speeds! I think our tires are starting to get a little louder now also. About 24k on them.. thinking about doing a review... Thanks for watching!
Great video! Do you have room for the clamshell pop up tent now that you reconfigured the back of the van? I want to get one of those to work out in. Also got the Reebok Professional Deck. Not sure if that will fit in your rig.
Thank you! No, we haven't replaced the tent yet, but might reconfigure some things when we get back to Minneapolis. We are pretty used to just working out outside right now, but we've been spoiled in the SW with very little rain. Now that we are moving towards the Midwest its been raining a lot! I think the Reebok Deck would be a little big for our van, but it sure would be nice to have!
That's a good idea and will bring it up on video. We currently use a WIFI motion camera and also a audible motion alarm. For the most part it is very safe out in remote boondocking locations... but always good to be aware of your surroundings!
Hi we loved Utah we are there last August we are newbies to this whole van life thing not full-time kind of like months at a time Warriors ...how do you protect yourselves out there in the middle of nowhere we have a taser we have pepper spray we recently bought a gun but we're afraid to travel with it due to every state has different laws ..
Hello! Good video topic! I think it is a comfort thing. The more you do it (and anything) the more comfortable you are in different boondocking situations. Although we believe it is "safer" than in big cities. It still usually takes me a day or so to feel comfortable in new surroundings. And that goes in the cites and out in the middle of now where. Since we live in here fulltime, it is like a house/home to us and we have everything we need to protect ourselves. We do believe in the second amendment right, but you're right the state laws do vary and that can make it tricky! We will address this more in the future as it keeps coming up! Thanks for watching!
Our showers are pretty quick... maybe 5 min total with the water running only half of that. Our fresh tank is 26 gallons and we carry an extra 6 gallons of drinking water.(probably up this to 10 soon) We can last about 7 days stretching it out and showering every 2-3 days each. Also, we drink about a gallon of water each per day.
We have... its definitely a cool van, but we think it's completely different than our van. The Revel is more designed for a weekend adventure mobile I think. A sweet one at that with 4x4, a lift, and now lithium batteries. But, ultimately it is too small for us and tanks are also on the small side. We feel our layout works better for us and full time. I would like to take a 30 day trip with one though!😜
Hello! Yes, I installed the system myself. Here is the video if you haven't gotten to it yet. ruclips.net/video/qIANRToD-vU/видео.html An install like this should not void the manufacture warranty, but there is always a chance the dealer could try to say otherwise. Oh and yes we added a second back up cam. Very cheap, like $40 and I mounted it low on the bumper for a close up view of backing up on the big 10.1 inch radio screen. We still have the wide over view original backup cam in the rearview mirror too.

Thanks! That's kinda funny.. we almost bought a gym instead of an RV as we were trying to figure out what we wanted to do with our lives! We made the right choice and hope you and your wife get that motorhome someday. Thanks for watching!😀
Painfully aware of how much this makes me want to go on a road trip...
It's starting to get busy out here! I think everyone is feeling that same itch!
Honestly just about to sell all my crap and live in one of these
Could be the best decision of your life! 🥳
I'm pretty much surprised that you don't have by now more subs, maybe you should change or add to your channel name something of RV related. Just saying!
Thank you so much for the compliment! We did think about changing the channel name last year, but couldn't decide on one!😮 Now we are hoping having a different name will help us stand out! Thanks for your support, appreciate it!
I'm afraid you don't know what boondocking is.
